This is probably the best place we stayed on the Carretera Austral! Lovely apartment, clean, spacious & uncluttered. Isabel was very prompt to greet us and she also did our laundry for a reasonable fee. Highly recommend this place!!!!

This cabin was excellent. We had everything we could ask for, even the fire was burning. It’s a short walk to restaurants, food cart (great), the lovely plaza & great information centre. The cabin main bedroom is very spacious. The fire warms the whole place & there is an additional electric heater if needed. Communication with the woman who looks after the place was very responsive & she was there to meet us in minutes. We only stayed one night but really wished we had stayed more. It is a really lovely small well equipped village at the end of a very long drive.

There were a couple good restaurants.

There were a couple good restaurants. We had a boat excursion to the glacier planned, but due to weather it was cancelled. We did a nice hike, the Alta-Vista trail instead. It’s a long way to travel to get to Villa O’Higgins, but it is the end or the beginning of the Austral trail, which we completed.
