SloveniaWe were very satisfied with our stay at Maria's Apartments. I was a bit concerned about the access to the apartment by car, as I had read some comments saying it was hard to find. However, we received clear instructions from Mrs. Maria, and if you follow them, the apartment is not difficult to locate. We were very happy with the private parking in the courtyard, as it meant we didn’t have to carry our suitcases from a public parking lot. This is very convenient in a town like Omodos.
The apartment was very clean, and Mrs. Maria had kindly left water, wine, and some chocolate for the children in the fridge. In front of the apartment, there is a terrace with a table where we enjoyed playing board games in the evening.

We had booked the room for the night after our wedding party and we were pleasantly surprised when we found wine and snacks waiting for us upon our arrival. I would definitely book this again.

United StatesThe property is managed by the restaurant 'Stou Kir Yianni' which is itself an Inn, with lodging upstairs. They have several housing units in the village which are like an extension of the Inn. The place we stayed at was one of those units - the Chelidoni cottage. This review relates to that cottage.
We thought the house was perfect for a romantic getaway.
It has a bedroom, master bath, and decent balcony upstairs, and living room and kitchenette & 1/2 bath downstairs.
It is recently renovated and very modern, yet at the same time rustic and romantic (those stone walls!).
The renovation was very tastefully done, with an eye out for both convenience and charm. Separate remote control A/C unit in each floor warmed the place nicely. I'm sure they will do just as well in summer.
Our hosts loaded the small fridge with water bottles & had basic supplies waiting - tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo etc. Much appreciated!
There are too many other details to mention, so I won't. It's a small place - make no mistake - but a lovely one.
The included breakfast is at the Inn (naturally) and is simple and generous.
We felt like we were taken care of - and everyone was wonderfully nice.
The village itself is quite lively with options for dining and shopping. We were there midwinter - so much was closed, but even so.

Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries...
Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries near by. It can get busy with coach parties but that is to be expected. Most restaurants and cafes close early evening so not a great deal to do in the evening. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking round all the narrow streets but it is so worth it.
We have visited several times and enjoy it each time.

We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night.
We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night. The village is beautiful with a lot of history. In my opinion it’s one of the nicest villages in Cyprus. Full of history too with a small free museum that is extremely interesting.
The village is small so you can walk around it in a very short time and it’s so beautiful you really should walk around.
For night life, most restaurants and the bakers close around 6.30pm ish. There are a couple of places that open til midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However I really think this is a gem not to be missed.

Lovely village with several traditional taverns sprawled along the narrow picturesque streets, lovely at night when the lights come on.
The church and it's museum at the village square is definitely worth a visit and so is the EOKA hideout.

The city centre is really really beautiful and has a good atmosphere. The city centre is only 4 streets though, and if you go further it gets worn down and ugly quickly.
Also, this city becomes a ghost town after 7pm. All restaurants and bars close and its really clear that this town is for day tourists.
Would still recommend though!

Omodos itself is quite small and you can see pretty much all of it in one day. But the surrounding area, the mountains, villages, viewpoints, waterfalls etc. You could spend a month here and still miss places!

It's a small rustic town, apparently the monastary is one of the oldest in Cyprus.
Small and narrow streets, uneven surfaces, not good anyone with mobility issues, prams and wheelchairs.
Small selection of tavernas and coffee shops, food as expected for the area, prices perhaps slightly high.
Nice views from that level, the village is will into the mountainous area and is smack in the middle of the wine region so lots to try and enjoy!

Lovely place to stay in Omodos – spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in a perfect location just a short walk from the village centre. The hosts were welcoming and thoughtful, leaving us little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. Great value for money and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area

The house was wonderful - spacoius, clean, cozy, and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for cooking. The courtyard is great with a beautiful view of the mountains. It is located at a quiet spot just 2-3 minutes walk from Omodos touristic center. The host was very kind and helpful.

We loved Omodos Village - a quiet location for a young family. Excellent restaurants and cafes. Super friendly people! We drove to locations around Cyprus from here as a base. Accommodation facilities were great and the host always available and going out of their way!
