Comfortable apartment in an old period building right on the main square in Kasperske Hory. The food is amazing. I definitely recommend eating at their fine-dining restaurant for dinner. They have a French chef and serve 2,3 or 4 course tasting menus and the food is fabulous. They also have an impressive wine list to go with the food. Breakfast is excellent too. Everything is freshly made with very good quality ingredients. There is a beautiful garden behind the property with comfortable lounge chairs, a small gazebo, swings etc. During the day, you can buy drinks or food at their coffee shop and they will serve it in the garden. Overall a great find. The town of Kasperske hory is nothing much, but the surrounding nature is wonderful and you can hike to the nearby Kasperk castle, which is an impressive 14th century fortress.

Absolutely everything exceeded my expectations. Modern, clean, cozy, plus that extra special personal touch and thoughtfulness. Kind host (a pro at Google Translate), beautifully renovated suite, little extras all over, tons of information about the town and Šumava, fully stocked kitchen with fridge and new hot plate in room, perfect location—close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away to be serene, with walking trails starting at the property! The host is running things on her own, and is doing a fantastic job. I cannot wait to come back here. Something like this in the United States or Austria or Switzerland would be a minimum of $200 (or euros or a similar currency) per night (likely more).
