I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel. The hotel has a unique charm, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. I particularly liked the antique furniture in the hallways. Everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly. A small piece of advice: request a room facing the garden instead of the road, as it is quieter.

This is about the 3rd or 4th time we stayed at the Quellenhof. It was always excellent. Since May 2025 the Quellenhof has new owners, and they are super friendly, serve great breakfasts, wonderful rooms. Super nice owners. Thank you to Sven, Nicole, Luciano. You made us feel so welcome!

A picturesque town surrounded by stunning landscapes,

A picturesque town surrounded by stunning landscapes, offering excellent hiking trails right from your doorstep. In the town center, you'll find a variety of amenities, including supermarkets, medical facilities, bakeries, and restaurants. We also visited Lidl and Rewe to stock up on groceries. Additionally, there is a DM drugstore nearby for personal care needs. Just keep in mind everything closes soon. Only REWE and LIDL and DM were up to 8 pm.

Small town with good places to eat in a beautiful location. Guests at the hotels and apartotels may receive a free bus pass which is extremely useful for the 359 and 357 buses that travel lakeside. For the 4 nights there is a Euro 24 community charge on top of your booking.

Bad Wiessee is a very nice town on the lake.

Bad Wiessee is a very nice town on the lake. You can easily walk around shops and along the lake with very beautiful view from the mountains surrounding. We ate at an Italian place (La Vela) which seemed to be quite popular as there were lots of people. The ability to join the other side of the lake as well as the other cities by boat is really nice day trip.

We chose Bad Wiessee as we wanted to be within easy-ish...

We chose Bad Wiessee as we wanted to be within easy-ish reach of Munich, but surrounded by nature. The setting is lovely, at the edge of the Bavarian alps. However, the town itself is not very interesting ☹️ It seems almost totally devoted to quiet, sedate home-grown tourism (maybe for an older crowd) and we felt slight oddities, as English speaking visitors. For example, the tourist information lady was not especially welcoming and gave us the wrong info about the boats over to Tegernsee. And the crew lady of one of the boats was also very unhelpful (rude in truth) when we didn’t understand the somewhat confusing boat timetable. Others (German speakers, unlike us) also seemed perplexed. Really, we would have preferred to stay in Tegernsee on the other side of the lake, as the boats only operated for limited hours and the train station is over in Tegernsee. Buses weren’t reliable!! We missed a train because we waited half an hour for a bus that never materialised. Bad Wiessee isn’t really suitable for those travelling by train / public transport , as we were. I’d pick somewhere else unless you have a car or fancy cycling everywhere. There were lots of cyclists (mostly older, on e-bikes). Plus food options weren’t that appealing. A lot of places seemed closed and/ or very traditional.

The location on the lake is quite lovely with fairly easy...

The location on the lake is quite lovely with fairly easy access by public transit. The Christmas markets were worth the weekend trip! I'll definitely come back during the spring to enjoy the lake in warmer weather.

The town was great, location for the dogs and walks were fantastic, it is just an overpriced hotel with little to offer! Would not go back because we have done it, but will definitely go back to the area to visit and walk more :)

The owners were very friendly and helpful. In the appartment you have all necessary facilities to feel comfortable. The appartment is well located, close to Tegernsee cost, ship terminal and bus stop. The area is very nice and peaceful - with opportunities for water sports, walking in the mountins, even visiting Ludvig castles.

Amazing hotel stay! Family friendly, beautiful gardens, excellent location to the lake, clean and cosy decor in the restaurant, friendly staff, modern and spacious room with walk in wardrobe, lovely spa facilities (the saunas were closed, possibly due to the heat outside on the day). I will definitely be back!
