Location was perfect, everything is easily within walking distance. The beds are quite firm but comfy and warm in the winter. Breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, fruit, some meats and cheeses, bread, and corn flakes.

I wished I had checked in sooner to be able to really enjoy this place, including the spa. We were traveling with kids and we were given a ground floor apartment (with mosquito nets on the doors) with a playground right outside. The kids loved it! Beautiful views. We really loved this place, and would totally recommend. Parking was available and easy.

We arrived early by car. Onsite free parking was a big plus. We were allowed to check into our room several hours before check in time. The staff was most friendly and accomodating. Walking distance from the hotel lies the Old Town of Fussen. The ‘Rewe’ grocery was just a short walk away. Most impressive was the breakfast both in presentation, variety and taste. We would definitely book here again when we return to Fussen.

When we first booked the castle, we booked it for the...

When we first booked the castle, we booked it for the afternoon having done the larger castle in the morning. Unfortunately, we had to wait three hours because of the timed entry. It seemed that if tours were not full that it should be allowed to let people who had scheduled a later time join an earlier tour.

I did not enter any of the castles or museums.

I did not enter any of the castles or museums. I had done that 50 years ago, as a student in Munich. I liked just walking around, soaking up the tourist vibe, predominantly Chinese. I even liked the rainy-sunny mix of weather, so characteristic of the Allgaue region.

The village is a prime example of a "tourist village".

The village is a prime example of a "tourist village". Everything closes very early on, you see almost no locals, only hotels and restaurants. In spite of that, it still gives you a nice german feeling and experience, and the whole area is super clean, secure and just dreamy. I suggest everyone to take a bycicle or walk to get around, and try the Schlossbrau restaurant.

I liked the walk ability to the castles. The tours were just okay- guides to both castles did not speak great English (on the English tour) so it was difficult to get much out of the tours…. But the area is beautiful and you can swim in the lake!

Central location convenient for visiting the two castles. There is nothing there apart from a series of hotels and a few restaurants. Even so, much more conventient than staying further out and paying for parking etc. For more amenties and activities apart form the castles try Fussen, 15 minutes away

This city is amazing and the people are so nice.

This city is amazing and the people are so nice. I had all good experiences during my stay in the area. The Castle Hohenschwangau is worth a visit as well. Most people just go to Neuschwanstein, but please visit the Hohenschwangau Castle as well. Do not eat at the Hotel Muller Bistro quick snack place. The Jumbo hot dog was terrible, and I had an ache in my stomach the rest of the day. Eat at one of the sit down restaurants!

An excellent hotel with a great breakfast! The room was warm, cozy, and spacious enough for two people. The location is perfect, with all the important places nearby. The bathroom was clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by the little details like a comb and a nail file, which was a lovely touch. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay!

Very nice hotel and rooms. The location is great, right near the ticket center for the castle. The hotel has a very large terrace to enjoy a cold beer, an indoor restaurant and a souvenir shop. The room has a big and confortable bed, a closet, tv and a very nice balcony with chairs and table to admire the beautiful surroundings. Parking available for guests.

Brilliant location right in the middle of Hohenschwangau. Bus and carriages to castles outside the door. Great breakfast included. Has a restaurant, however there are other options a short walk away. We were fortunate to get an upgrade and the room had a great little outside deck with seating.
