Although our stay was only for 1 night, we enjoyed our time in Horneburg, especially in the lovely apartment that was a short walk from our friend's apartment. We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the property owners in spite of the language difference. When our friend asked if we would recommend the apartment to other visiting friends or family, we didn't hesitate in answering "yes." The apartment had all the amenities that we needed plus some extras. It would be perfect for a stay of 1 week or longer, for a few friends or a family. We highly recommend staying here when in Horneburg.

Excellent breakfast with choice of scrambled or boiled eggs, selection of cold cuts and cheeses, yogurt, cereals and excellent coffee. I had to find a hotel at the last minute and was lucky to find Am Eiche. Restaurant has limited dinner menu but what they prepare is of excellent quality. Simple furnished rooms but spotlessly clean. Staff did my laundry for a modest fee.

An on-site cinema for 150 guests, restaurant and 2 bowling alleys are offered by this family-run hotel.
