We had a room at the top floor, which was reached conveniently with the elevator, the high carpet made it a bit difficult to roll the luggage. Bathroom with bath and shower were perfect as were the toileteries.

The hotel room includes a compact kitchen, even a dishwasher. The hotel is located near a Rewe grocery which is just about a 2 minute walk from your hotel room to the front of the store. The bus and train station are very close. The lovely old town of Kronberg is at your front door and offers a variety of dining opportunities and small shops. There is also a restaurant in the hotel that is open Tuesday thru Saturday that offers very good food. I would have to say it was my favorite restaurant in Kronberg. You can also use the hotel laundry during the evenings when the hotel is not needing it for hotel needs.

The house is beautiful and would have been very advanced for its time when it was built - very roomy - enough bathrooms and bedrooms - great laundry room - host helped us personally with setting up our streaming service and made sure a little issue was resolved promptly

The apartment was very clean and tidy. The host left some drinks for us at the table which was very kind. There were most of small but important things that travellers usually need, like dish soap, salt, toilet paper etc.

I loved the high-tech + efficient room design. Very efficient, clean and new. I found the bed quite comfortable and spa shower very relaxing. The staff was very nice/helpful. The 15€ breakfast was also very good and had a lot of selection. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Kronberg is our twin town and i have been visiting for many...

Kronberg is our twin town and i have been visiting for many years . Mostly for the Christmas Market. thats a wonderful experience ..not commercialised like Frankfurt. Its also beautiful in summer . the castle is really worth a visit . there is a real connection with the British royal family .. Queen Victorias eldest daughter and her daughter lived here . A visit to the splendid Schlosshotel is recommended for afternoon tea . there is the Opel Zoo and the Braun factory has a museum . the art gallery is vey good too . Lovely cobbled alleys and timbered houses . last but not least visit Sylvies cafe for coffee and cake.

The sceneries are beautiful, the parks are nice to walk in, run, walk your dog, is just beautiful. The peaceful while not being far from Frankfurt is heavenly. There is a zoo as well nearby which we didn’t manage to visit due to time. The town is pretty like and we also got lost in translation with the directions to get to the castle. However we did manage to walk around the city which was pleasant

Beautiful old town, full of interesting architecture - mostly from the middle ages. Great castle. Lovely bars, restaurants, shops. Fabulous views of the countryside in the direction of Frankfurt. Easy access to all the amazing sights of the Taunus hills, but also easy to get to Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz as well as some lovely smaller towns like Bad Homburg . The town of Kronberg is on a hillside and is full of steep steps and terraces, very fascinating, but you need to be reasonably fit to be able to get around and see all the sights

Our first night of a 21day trip through Germany & Poland.

Our first night of a 21day trip through Germany & Poland. We ate on their back veranda outside. Gorgeous views, wonderful staff and good food. The weather was balmy. The room was very comfortable. The hotel had a lot of history and understandable since it was Princess Viktoria's home (first daughter of Queen Victoria.) The grounds were part of a forest environment. All the reasons above created a most wonderful night to remember.

Kronberg im Taunus is a gem in the Frankfurt area. We decided to stay there rather than in Frankfurt itself. It was a very smart decision! Kronberg is beautiful, and there is much to see. The view of Frankfurt from the Kronberg castle is phenomenal. The restaurants were wonderful: excellent food and attentive service everywhere. It is a very human scale (as opposed to Frankfurt am Mainhattan), and it was much more relaxing than a few days in Frankfurt would have been. It is only 20 minutes from downtown Frankfurt (by commuter train, S-Bahn). Is there any down side? The town center is very much up hill from the train station, and that might be daunting for the mobility impaired; time for a taxi!

It is a very nice hotel and a unique experience compared...

It is a very nice hotel and a unique experience compared with other conventional hotels. The rooms are spacious, cleaned and well maintained. Bathroom is also spacious and very clean. Hotel has a real gem in the lobby a sitting space to relax in font of big open fireplace where you can enjoy a drink and a pleasant conversation. All in all a very nice experience and we hope we will be back to relax and enjoy this place.
