Great location, clean room and good view

Great hotel with lots of history, located within walking distance of Marburg`s old town.

Fabulous dining, food was delicious great service. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

A beautiful old house in the old part of town. Historical building made comfortable and updated.

The staff was great. The mattress was absolutely incredible and the blinds provided extra darkness while sleeping. The location is central without being in right next to the central station. You can take one stop from the station or walk to the hotel.

Roland, the hotel manager, was very friendly and helpful. I came to stay here in my first day in Germany to study as an international student and on top of the regular excellent service, he provided me with the essential information to ease my transition to Germany. The hotel itself was right in the heart of Marburg. There was many restaurants and supermarkets within 1-2 minutes of walking distance. The facilities in the hotel was also very clean and the common kitchen area was quite big and was a very good place to socialize with the other current residents. If you are looking for price/performance along with very good service I recommend the place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Hotel Stumpelstal. It had a lovely country feel, yet was conveniently located to Marburg which was a joy to explore. Coming 'home' to a quiet garden area and enjoying a refreshment at the end of the day was a bonus. Also, the staff were lovely.

The jr suite was very spacious with great functionality. Location very close to the alt stadt, staff very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Very nice place with great location. There is a fair amount of outside noise which is no uncommon given the great location close to the old town center. Would let people know they should take the Parkhaus elevator to 12 then go across walkway to next elevator to Oberstadt.

Well preserved historic house in Marburg. The owner takes great pride in his attention to detail. He was most helpful with storing our bicycles. Breakfast was quite good, and again he was attentive to every detail. Short walk to the old district.

very modern rooms, the breakfast selection was very good, super healthy with a good quality selection. The facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable.

Mar Hotel, Marburg After 18 hours of travel, I was greeted by the happiest welcome committee (aka the owner and his young son) and the quickest check-in process ever. The area is so peaceful it could double as a meditation retreat.
