The staff are amazing! So warm and helpful, even taking the time to surprise my partner and I with a decorated table and a little cake on his birthday. The hotel is incredibly charming—in every room there are little details that have been thoughtfully added to make it feel homey. The design style is old-fashioned, which we found added to the appeal. The saunas, wellness area and pool are well maintained and were a delight to use. The views and location are wonderful, idyllic even. We also loved the hang out room with free coffee and sitting areas, where we spent much of our time. Was the perfect couples getaway. ❤️

The property is lovely - it’s small, but it has everything for a perfect getaway. The host is extremely accommodating and thoughtful - you will find everything you need for your stay. It’s also pet friendly which was great for us. The view from the balcony is just breathtaking - even better than from the view points around. There are several hiking routes around, and it’s close to many regional highlights

We stayed in the top loft of the house. There were 3 flights of stairs to get there but that was fine for me. I met the landlord and he checked me in very quickly. The kitchen was great for saving some money.

Location was excellent as was the price. Very close walking distance to town. Room had a balcony which was very nice as well. There is a communal large refrigerator and a nice coffee machine on the second floor. Also has a microwave!

Sasbachwalden is a beautiful village in the foothills of the Black Forest. It is nestled in the middle of some of the finest vineyards of the Rhine Valley and is the home of the renowned Vintner's Coopérative, Winzergenossenschaft Alder Gott. The wines are pricey, but well worth the trip. Visitors should not miss the hike up the " Gaishölle" waterfalls (there is also the option to take a public bus to the top of the falls and hike down. Coming out at the top, hikers are rewarded with a bteathtaking panorama of the Rhine Valley and, depending on the time of day, gorgeous sunset over the Vosges mountains of France on the other side. On a clear day, you can spot Straßburg Cathedral.

A beautiful village surrounded by hills and vineyards.

A beautiful village surrounded by hills and vineyards. Great for hiking. There are many drinks stations with wine, beer, schnapps and soft drinks along the walking routes Lovely restaurants in the village. Great bus network throughout the region with free bus pass.

The host was so kind. She asked us if we need anything from the grocery store and also offered us a ride as we had a early train to catch. It was also easy to get there by bus and it was right at a bunch of hiking trails. They also have a restaurant there open during the day. Something that's not mentioned, there is also a kitchen for community use ( always really clean )

Fully renovated building, with furnished apartments, with all you need. Parking space in back. Easy check-in / check-out procedure. We actually never met anyone from the staff for the whole stay, which also felt a bit weird. The location is perfect. A few steps away from bakeries, restaurants, supermarket. Also the main hike paths are just a walk away.

Very welcoming and accommodating, we had some delays en route so were worried we would miss our stay, but they were very helpful and ensured we could access our room on arrival. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, with beautiful rooms kept to a high standard. Lovely breakfast with a view. We will definitely be back, and would highly recommend!
