Beautiful spa resort hotel. It felt like a hidden gem. The pride of ownership is so evident. Every part of the hotel has a creative charm to it. The grounds surrounding the pool were immaculate. The food was always a treat.

Breakfast was great. Quality food and easy self service. The hotel is perfectly located along the bus route and walking distance from anything in koningsee. Staff was friendly and spoke English enough to answer all of my questions.

Comfortable hotel in a wonderful location with nice mountain...

Comfortable hotel in a wonderful location with nice mountain view. Excellent meals at hotel and Brenner Bau in nearby Bishofswiesen. Easy driving access in nearby areas - not overcrowded in October season.

Schönau am Königssee is a truly magical place, surrounded by some of the most stunning natural landscapes I’ve ever seen. The crystal-clear waters of Königssee, framed by towering alpine peaks, are simply breathtaking. We took a boat ride on the lake, which was peaceful and allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of the area. The town itself is charming and serene, offering a perfect blend of nature and relaxation. Whether hiking, boating, or just enjoying the scenery, Schönau am Königssee is a must-visit for nature lovers. We can’t wait to return!

We had a very nice day. The boat ride was lovely.

We had a very nice day. The boat ride was lovely. Such a beautiful and peaceful ride over to the island. The trumpet was great and the echo was brilliant. The only problem was the captain of the boat did not explain on the ride over the history of it all in English. He claimed to not know that there were English speakers on board.

Hiking here is amazing! The lake is extremely beautiful. Hiking, you will mostly see only Germans or Austrians. Is you take the ferry, which you should, you'll see people from everywhere and it feels more touristy, but still beautiful.

Visiting this place was just breathtaking.

Visiting this place was just breathtaking. Everything is so clean and neat. Nice people and nice surroundings. Mountain views are beautiful. Super close to Switzerland if you are hesitating to see Mozart house and see the town. Also close to the Eagle’s Nest.

Clean, comfortable house and room. Very kind people, they helped with everything. Very calm and peaceful place, beautiful nature around. From house you can see mountains, alpine meadows, they have cows and horses. Nice heated swimming pool so I could swim in the beggining of October. Good breakfast. I travel alone without car, they provide guest card - all buses for free. Bus station is 10 minutes from hotel. All my hikes I did by bus, great connection to all interesting places.

This is a very distinctive hotel with a very good location. There is a commercial street right outside and the boarding place is just a few minutes' walk away. Parking is very easy and the hotel balcony offers beautiful mountain and river views. When you wake up in the morning, you will be surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hotel is not very newly renovated, but the price is well worth it for the location.

Everything was clean and nice , hotel staff welcomed us friendly, and we loved to see small gelly candies on the pillowers when we entered the room. Hotel seams to be renovated ,even smells like fresh wood in the room. Owners seem to love this place and care a lot about all details for the comfort of their guests and the beauty of the place.

All the staff were friendly and polite. Breakfasts are lovely with lots of choice and the views are amazing! The location was perfect for me as I was able to hike straight from the hotel. Evening meals are good value and very tasty.
