We use Hostal Landhaus in El Molar as an overnight stop only...

We use Hostal Landhaus in El Molar as an overnight stop only - no sightseeing or shopping involved. El Molar itself is easily accessible from the A1 motorway in either direction but, from the north, it helps to have local knowledge of the access road to the hostal. Check with Google maps street view to get you through the car park behind the flats and onto the Landhaus parking area.

Due to the power outage in all of Spain when we arrived hotel closed no sign on door to say why no one was on site We could not phone or ring a bell as there was no means to do this very poor We were left to sleep in the car as we were low on fuel and nothing open See photos In the morning hotel open and manager said they will reimburse me for the hotel room

It was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is situated perfectly along the E5 for those overnighting en route to / from the ferry ports of Santander and Bilbao. The hotel has a bar which offers sandwiches and there are a few cafes and restaurants in town, around 15 minutes walk.

Excellent ,spacious room in middle of El Molar I was there to play music for a wedding at El Patio del Olivos. Was perfect to get out of the heat for the afternoon before the festivities. Highly recommended. Fair price
