This is a beautifully-decorated apartment in the historic center of charming Fondon. From my apartment, I was able to relax in a rocking chair with view of the cathedral tower while sunning---simply divine! The roof terrace has even more amazing views, and the washing machine up there was very useful. The host was kind, thoughtful, and flexible.

Laujar is a good base from which to explore the Alpujarras...

Laujar is a good base from which to explore the Alpujarras region. There are lovely views in every direction and plenty of options to cycle/walk in the surrounding countryside. The town centre is small, with a few bars and mainly tourist-related shops, but lacking in any mainstream supermarkets. It is relatively easy to park, but the main streets are very narrow and on busy days, or when there are a lot of pedestrians around, it can be time-consuming to safely drive through the centre. The nearby town of Fondon is certainly worth a visit for a typical picturesque, compact town centre with lots of lovely bar/restaurants and character.

Unless you have good mobility and enjoy and lengthy uphill...

Unless you have good mobility and enjoy and lengthy uphill climb on your return to the hotel, you really do need a car to visit the local village of Laujar. There is free parking there , plus a variety of small shops and cafe/bars, and is worth a visit. Likewise, to get the best experience of the hotel premises and surrounding area, you need to be a fairly agile walker. There is a lift to take those less mobile from the reception area down to the restaurant, bar and pool. An apartment on the lower level would be more appropriate in this case. Every apartment has fantastic views from the terraces. I wished I had brought my binoculars with me.

A very nice hotel that we have stayed at several times before and will do so again. Set outside of the town of Laujar in beautiful grounds and with great views. A lovely, spacious room with a great terrace. Friendly staff and and a good pool area. There are lovely walks around the Rio Nacimiento area and direct from the hotel down to Fondon and Fuente Victoria. Recommended.

Excellent visit to a secluded hotel outside of town. You stay in well equipped chalets in the grounds with mountain views and we went half board but the town a short drive away. A traditional hotel and evening serves Spanish food from a menu. Breakfast is a continental buffet ie cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit and cereals tea and coffee etc.

The hotel is located in a beautiful quiet area with amazing views Great view from the room with the balcony! The young gentleman who checked us in and served in the restaurant was just brilliant! The food in the restaurant was fabulous but a bit expensive. Good choice of drinks in the bar. Very warm pool and pleasant gardens
