Wonderful place. Peaceful and quiet. We walked Camiño to Muxia and booked here because other places had no availability. How lucky we were! Great decor and experience. Great bed, hot water, strong shower. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Definitely a step above. The husband and wife owners go above and beyond and made this a wonderful stay. They transported us to and from the Camino and took complete care of our luggage transfer. The dinner and breakfast were amazing, ample, and delicious. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Muxia (pronounced Moo-SHEE-ah)was a lovely stop to explore the coast in Galicia. After the heat in other parts of Spain, the temperatures were so pleasant and cool. The beaches were uncrowded and the water is so clear. It was also a great location from which to explore other towns in the area like Finisterre. If you want a quiet, coastal town, this is for you.

After 38 days of walking along the Camino Francés and continuing on the Muxía Way, turning the corner and seeing the ocean for the first time in over a month was the most emotional and memorable moment of my entire journey. I have never experienced feelings like that before, and the beauty of the town itself made the moment even more intense and unforgettable. I could not have asked for a more perfect return to the coastline. The town itself was absolutely beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of fantastic seafood options throughout. The cathedral was stunning, and attending the 18:00 Mass was a lovely and meaningful way to finish the day’s journey. Although my Camino continued on to Fisterra, which I considered to be the true ending of my pilgrimage, Muxía will always remain the highlight of my Camino. I would highly recommend making the walk here after Santiago de Compostela. You won’t regret it!

I loved Muxia.

I loved Muxia. After the Camino, this was the perfect spot to rest and take a breathe. It is small, so you can visit everything easily by foot. Highly recommend this over Finisterre if you are thinking of one over the other!

Gorgeous little coastal village.

Gorgeous little coastal village. Can be visited as part of the Camino Fisterra or as a destination on its own. Good restaurants, lots of delicious seafood. Beautiful lighthouse with a stunning church built on the rocks nearby.

Muxia is situated on an narrow isthmus if you walk across the isthmus from the harbour the sunsets over the ocean are beautiful. Visitors must walk to the end of the isthmus to see the church, Santuario de la Virgen de la Barca especially when the tide is high.

Muxia in comparison to other camino finishing locations was massively disappointing. I would say it was a lovely place once but it lacked a city vibe. There were a few restaurants, I would definitely recommend the restaurant A FURNA but that was the only place worth going and also Santuario Da Virxe da Barca - church but the rest of Muxia felt a little grey.

I really enjoyed stay here. The albergue was superclean with huge kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms ale pocito big so better to have a earplugs and the beds are not the most sturdy ones. But overall my sleep was ok and there is a big locker where you can leave your stuff. The position in the middle of Muxía is just perfect, everything is close. The staff is also very nice. Would definitely stay again.

The location is bordering perfection, just in front of the beach, just behind the pine trees line. The whole hotel was spotless clean, very tidy, and the team was quite welcoming. Good food with a fair enough price.
