AustraliaEverything was fantastic. The staff, the view, the rooms, the beautiful festive decor. The breakfast with that gorgeous view was a cherry on the cake. The staff even let me do a little late checkout as I was really tired. Parking is on site with elevator and the rooms are super spacious.

CanadaThe guest house has about 10 rooms, and we got a small but nice room with our own terrace and mountain view. The bathroom was shared for our room and another one, but for the first days, another room was empty, so the bathroom was fully ours. Everything is extremely clean. Mari Carmen cleans all the time. The roof has two terraces with a view of the mountains and the sea, where we could sit, drink wine, and eat at night. Mari Carmen is a very nice and welcoming person; the feeling is like you live in your own home. We could leave our luggage in the guest house on the last day until evening (free of charge).

Salobrena is a nice town with a interesting castle giving wonderful views. I loved the short but steep walk up to it.
The beach is shingle but very nice with lots of things to do. The locals love it and use the area for holidays.

A beautiful part of Spain.
A beautiful part of Spain. A great beach with a wide selection of restaurants, 'Bahia' helped us to host an special anniversary meal, the Il Treno ice-cream parlour right opposite the clean beach and the marvelous tapas bar nearby are worth a visit. The maintown, set back a way from the beachfront is the castle with it's incredible views, and the hillside houses in the steep narrow winding streets are amazing but exhausting to walk around. Fortunately there are several bars to stop for a drink on the way. The town has all the shops you might need and the beautiful town of Caleta is close enough to walk to: I would love to see the procession that is proudly displayed in the photographs throughout their town. We were delighted by the smiling local Spaniards who made us welcome and helped us wherever we went. Most spoke little or no English but with just a few Spanish words we managed just fine; communication is no big problem among friends. Viva Espana

We loved the choice of restaurants.
We loved the choice of restaurants. There are plenty of shops. We love Mercadona. The weather was amazing, the people very friendly and lots to do. We travelled up to the mountains where there are some lovely little villages. There is a castle with lots of interesting history. We know Andalusia very well and Salobrena definitely is at the top of our list. There are some super beaches too. We are more keen on country though. You can drive up to Velez de Benaudilla and visit the Arab gardens. There are rivers and waterfalls to be see in Guajar Alto. Its great to have a car if possible. You can then visit Almunecar with it's lovely beaches and lovely town. I am sure there are buses but we always rent a car. All in all, we love the area and are planning to live there. We have lived in Spain before and love it.

Salobrena is a lovely town with a real mixture of new and old. We particularly liked the old town and Arab quarter walking up to the castle. The beach side is everything you would expect and has all the necessary amenities. The only thing we were disappointed with was the amount of fog faeces not being picked up!!! It was a shame as it spoils what is rather a nice place.

Salobreña is a lovely old town on a small (but steep) hill, with a newer part on level ground at the bottom and a seaside development 15 minutes walk away. The beach development is almost all low-rise (2 stories), with lots of planting etc. Parking there is difficult when it's busy. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and there are nice walks in the surrounding area.

a very quiet town with little to do in the evenings, no music bars of note. A good base for walking around the district but the routes aren't marked well. buy some proper maps. Not many buses except to Granada. Book your buses on-line as soon as you book your stay. the bus garage ticket office is shut.
not many free parking spaces on the road near the centre, so look to stay at somewhere that has parking or will arrange parking for you.

i like the location of the apartment, it is exactly in the center of salobrena, everything is close to you; The landlord is very helpful and easygoing, I have some problems with the phone and glasses, thanks to his help and the problems were solved!
also you can enjoy the view of the town from the balcony,it is very quiet and relaxing. Nice trip and beautiful apartment!
