nice, quiet apartment, with one bedroom and living room with kitchen, good size bathroom, very clean, beds were super comfy, helpful contact person at the hotel reception from where we picked up the keys. It is in a small town inland, so to access the beach is easiest by car. The beach is 10 minutes drive, wonderful local place. the town itself is small but interesting for those who want to see a bit of everyday life on an island in not a very touristy place or are passing buy and need a place to sleep over. There is a nice local market every first saturday of the month and series of everyday museum offering a glimps into the history of the city, its workers, doctors, and artists. highly recommended

Authentic place, not yet overrun by tourists. The village square became a meetingplace for locals after a day's work. It was heartwarming to see the people greeting each other and the children playing together. The local supermarket is big enough to find whatever you need.

A beautiful small town between the mountains with a peaceful...

A beautiful small town between the mountains with a peaceful atmosphere far from resorts and crowded places. There is also a small beach within easy reach of the town, along the beach there is a promenade with many resting places and good seaside restaurants where you can taste typical Canarian cuisine. From the town you can take hiking trips to nearby hills with beautiful views (Morro de Los Pinos) or coastal circuits (Montaňa Tablada, Montaňa Blanca). Each gorge is different and hides beautiful nature. There are several dams with viewpoints above the town that are worth seeing, the Tamabada National Park is beautiful. The nearby Cactualdea cactus park is also beautiful, which thrilled us.

We love the friendliness of the people and the surrounding...

We love the friendliness of the people and the surrounding mountains are spectacular. If you are looking for a long beach this is not for you. It's all stones or you get into the water via a staircase. There are limited choices to eat and they all seem to close on the same days. It's a small village that is not on the tourist circuit

The little town was very friendly.

The little town was very friendly. Had a good selection of bars and restaurants. There was a lot of building work going in the town and we could see they were doing lots to improve the pavements, roads and general upkeep of the area.

Nice sleepy town on west of island

Nice sleepy town on west of island Not much going on there but seems to support a farming community Eating very limited in the town if you want to find Canarian or Spanish food. Nice base for a couple of days of sightseeing

Nothing much to do or see in the town although the centre square was pleasant. The town was quite run down but some effort had been made in places to brighten it up A couple of nice places to eat but had to hunt them out - especially La Salento just outside town which was fabulous for dinner Definitely not geared up for tourists but would have potential

Spacious, well equipped with a comfortable bed and good shower. Great to be able to use the swimming pool at the associated hotel (where the breakfast is also excellent). Really friendly and helpful staff.
