The host was amazing, so incredibly friendly and helpful. This was a last minute booking due to a cancelled flight. The location is close to the airport, we arrived at 9.30 at night and she couldn't have been more welcoming. Plenty of snacks and hot and cold drinks available. Very clean and well maintained property, lovely bedroom and bathroom. The host even gave us a free lift to the airport at 8.30am the next day. For our needs this accomodation could not have been any better!

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite with Spa Bath for about 10 days and had a wonderful stay. The suite is a separate little house in the garden, which makes it feel very private and cozy. After long days of hiking it was perfect to come back, relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the peaceful garden. The location in Ingenio is excellent if you want to experience a quieter and more authentic town away from the busy tourist areas. It is also a great base for exploring the island and going on hikes. Breakfast was fantastic, with freshly prepared warm dishes every morning. A big thank you to the hosts, Arold and Alienka, who were incredibly welcoming and gave us great recommendations for hikes and restaurants that we really enjoyed. Overall it felt like a small home away from home.

The house is set high up in the mountains in an outstandingly beautiful and remote area with incredible views. Parking is on the road nearby and the house is accessed via a very steep path. We are fit and healthy but this was still tricky with suitcases. The house and view are totally worth the struggle when you arrive though! The house is fantastically equipped, the bed very comfortable and the outside area very pretty with chairs, tables, sun beds, bbq and pizza/bread oven. There is heating throughout the house and plenty of hot water for showers.The owner was very attentive when we needed help. There is no mobile signal in the area but the house has WiFi connection. There are 3 cave restaurants all within walking distance nearby with friendly staff and very well priced menus. We walked from the house into the hills and enjoyed incredible views. We would stay again without a doubt.

The village of Santa Lucia is pretty and there are amazing views of the surrounding mountains and plenty of walks in the surrounding mountains e.g. Roque Neblo (1hr drive) or the Fortaleza monument and great museum (10min drive. The only downside is the relatively long drive to/from the coastal areas on a narrow, winding mountain road

Santa Lucia is a great base. 4 restaurants, all with a different atmosphere, a decent shop. You probably do want a car, but with a car it's pretty easy to get to the beach (about half an hour), or to most of the nice hikes around Gran Canaria within an hour's drive at most.

Santa Lucia is a small village with minimal facilities; two small supermarkets and a small number of places to eat but we found it quite adequate. The facilities aimed at the local population are much more interesting than those aimed at tourists. The bar next to the artinasal bakers provide good honest basic food at a reasonable cost. The bakers make very interesting local breads, The maize flour rolls are particularly worth tracking down.

Idéal for people just wishing a relaxing break with facilities nearby. Wouldn't say it was a quiet peaceful village all the time. Traffic passes through and there were dogs barking & howling occasionally, also young people gather at the park in the evenings & could be noisy with cars/motorbikes.
