Everything about this hotel is simple and fully satisfying. The floors, walls, and furniture all seem fairly new, and everything is kept spotlessly clean. The decor is simple and fitting. The food is simple, good, and filling. Best of all, the affable proprietor was ready with useful information and was happy to talk with me slowly and clearly, in simple terms, and to listen and respond cheerfully to my broken Spanish. And the setting is beyond magnificent - this is the last building before the national park.

Sotres is a good location to hike to the central and eastern massives of the Picos de Europa. We have stayed in a few hotels in Sotres, and Peña Castil we have enjoyed the most. There is a good traditional menu 20.00 -22.00 hrs, and bars and restaurants with other options to eat are also close by.

Excellent location in center of Sotres. We had room #10 which has a large balcony with great mountain views. The owner is super nice and really wants to make sure we are happy with everything. Good restaurant on property.

If you want to stay in sotres for a good price this is definately a great place. Everything is newly renovated (I think). We used it as an inbetween stay after coming back from a hike.
