The couple who run this hotel is just the sweetest you can find. In the bar area, there is a great collection of Armangnac from various years. If you ask for a Cognac, the owner will happily give you a lecture about why Armagnac is better, and guide you through the collection. Staying for severall nights and having the host present a new one every night, is just superb. Rooms are very clean. The garden and pool area are very well kept. The hotel is very quiet. The breakfast is continental, with no option for English breakfast. This is my second stay in this hotel. The hosts are like friends. It was really hard to leave this time. Absolutely recommended!

It is a cool quiet oasis in a lively little town. It is within easy - and pleasant- walking distance from the museums and restaurants and the Vezere path. Breakfast / evenings under the tall trees in the garden by the Beune, with birds and roses and a friendly cat was our favorite activity. Proprietors went out of their way to meet our needs.

The family room was excellent it combined 2 separate bedrooms with 2 separate toilets and it was very comfortable and roomy. The honor was absolutely charming and help us with everything we’ve asked.

Above and beyond should be the name of this establishment. The lodging, food, service and stay were impeccable and the host and hostess were wonderful.

It is located in a beautiful area of rolling hills. Many of the trees are turning to red and yellow now. The room was spacious, the bathroom appeared recently remodeled and had a heated towel rack. The host fixed us a delicious dinner (at extra cost) the evening we arrived.

Everything was excellent. Very quiet place, modern, comfortable room. Convenient parking.

Convenient in town location with a place to store my bicycle. Simple meals and bar downstairs. Nice patio for eating and drinking. Secure place to store my bike

This is a lovely property. The staff is attentive without being invasive. We only had the buffet breakfast for several mornings and it was delicious - enough to keep us fueled through dinner.

We did not take the breakfast- overpriced

The small Hotel Bien-Etre aux Cypress is a little gem. Beautifully situated in the small village of Marquay with a marvelous view. Very quiet. Our host Claude was wonderful to talk to and very helpful. Our king bed room was small but tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. Great home base to explore the Perigueux.
