The rooms were spacious, well-equipped and extremely comfortable beds for adults and two children. The pool was a perfect temperature to enjoy with the children and had wonderful views over the valleys. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel relaxed upon arrival and were quick to help with using the appliances. The breakfast was just incredible! The selection was vast and all the food was either made by the hosts or sourced locally, Didier showed us all the local businesses that supply the ingredients. Pastries, omelette, cheese, breads, ham and the homemade cookies and sweet treats were exactly what we needed for a long drive. It was easy to find, we all felt safe, the drive there was beautiful and the property is outstanding.

The small Hotel Bien-Etre aux Cypress is a little gem. Beautifully situated in the small village of Marquay with a marvelous view. Very quiet. Our host Claude was wonderful to talk to and very helpful. Our king bed room was small but tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. Great home base to explore the Perigueux.

The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes by car from the center of Sarlat, but the setting is quiet and serene with easy parking. Our air-conditioned room was comfortable and had everything that we needed including a lovely terrace. And with the warm summer days, the swimming pool was great! However, Anne-Marie and her husband are what make this hotel exceptional! Anne-Marie was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. She did everything she could to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and memorable! And her husband made sure that their guests were served a delicious breakfast each morning. We are so glad that we chose this hotel for our stay in Sarlat and would highly recommend it to others!

Christina was an excellent host and provided a personal touch so that it felt more like staying with an old friend! The weather was very hot during our stay and the pool was a real treat at the end of each day. There was plenty of parking and the location was peaceful. The room was a good size and had air-conditioning. The bed was very comfortable.
