Quiet village in the center of the Medoc wine region with...
Quiet village in the center of the Medoc wine region with many vineyards, wine chateaux and a golf course. Only 30 minutes from Lacanau seafront and 15 minutes from Pauillac, St Julien and St Estephe wine meccas.
We enjoyed visiting Chateau Ferriere in the center of town even without having a reservation and the wine store Avant Garde just next door has an amazing selection of wines from Margaux and the neighboring villages.
We had a lovely dinner at the Savoie restaurant in town, outside on the terrace enjoying the yummy food and great Margaux Grand Crus.

Our favourite place was the chocolate shop 'Mademoiselle de Margaux'. Free sampling of many different treats.
Then the 'Maison du vin de Margaux'.
Many eating places are closed most of the week and either for lunch or for dinner.
We had a dinner at the restaurant of the 'Marquis de Terme'. You need a reservation. The set dinner of my wife was O.K. My dinner of lamb was a bad joke. The wines were excessively expensive.
We drove to Bordeaux for dinner, a two hour round trip. The city is very alife with plenty of restaurants and outdoor eating and drinking places.

Beautiful suite, overlooking the pool, walking distance of Margaux and charming staff. V comfortable stay with well decorated and furnished room. Huge bed, great shower, light and airy rooms, with high ceilings.

Located on the edge of Margaux - easy walk into the centre of town, and nice walks in the vineyards. Clean comfortable room. Ample parking at the hotel. Good breakfast with unlimited coffee!

Interesting location in wet lands near the river. Golf course looks challenging with water. Spacious hotel. Comfortable room. Brasserie lovely in the golf club overlooking the course.
