Dogs are welcome & people tolerated!
We were only passing through, however go up into Saint Brice a short walk from the wonderful Hotel via a secret gate & sample the delights of the friendly local pub (by night) - le bistrot sur loire & the excellent restaurant le berlot.
We will be returning & will spend an extra night there - wonderful.

Lovely friendly family run hotel, nice rooms, lovely garden. Most of the food was either home made or locally sourced, including freshly squeezed orange juice and home made yogurt for breakfast. As the local restaurants were closed, we were offered a simple but excellent supper menu with local wine. Delicious and good value.
Great place for either a stopover or longer break on the Loire. Highly recommend, we will return.

Immaculately clean everywhere, including the large en suite bathroom, friendly staff, lovely food in restaurant. Easy free parking at rear of hotel. Great location for exploring Loire area, especially for cyclists, as the 'Loire à Vélo' route runs close by and there is a covered area for bikes.

Delightful setting, beautiful building, amazing room and friendly staff. They managed to give us a table for dinner even though we hadn't booked and they were full, and the menu was delicious. The hotel was very dog friendly, which was necessary as we had our dog with us.

The hotel very kindly upgraded our room so we were in a cooler part of the chateau and provided us with some extra fans which were very much appreciated due to the intense heat. The swimming pool & area around was wonderful in the hot weather
