United StatesExceptionally beautiful guest house and landscaped grounds, all curated by the owner. You can see he put his heart and soul into the renovation. It’s honestly like walking into Architectural Digest. Every detail is meticulously and thoughtfully achieved. Our room was so lovely and comfortable with loads of spaces to unpack, which is very often not the case. We don’t use the pool but it’s amazing, up a few flights overlooking the grounds. Breakfast was wonderful, amazingly fresh and tasty bread and croissant, many choices of breakfast items and all of the highest quality. You have access to a kitchen that is well stocked with drinks and snacks. The property is easily accessed from a main highway and is close to many beautiful towns and chateaus. The village of Rochecorbon has a lovely restaurant Table de Joseph with exceptional food and service.

United StatesLocated in a charming neighborhood in Rochecorbon, our room provided a very comfy bed and bedding, clean and functional bathroom, and living room and dining room available to us as well. And there was a lovely back garden area too. All furnishings were stylish yet functional. Our bikes were safely stowed in the easily-accessible garage. An excellent breakfast was available for a reasonable extra charge, and we were directed to a wonderful restaurant, La Part Belle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, highly recommended!

The walks along the Loire are lovely accessed through the car park at the bottom of the hill. Busses are easy, but check the timetables as there are a couple quite close together then about 50 mins gap. Tours public transport is great, you can buy a daily travel card to use all busses and the tram.
The botanical gardens are lovely, and we also liked the Lac de la Bergeonnerie which we took the tram south to. The swimming pool there looked amazing too, it's an outdoor 50m pool and an indoor part with slides for children. The hike around Rochecorbon started about 1.6km from the property and took us through vineyards and the woods and beautiful views of the Loire. We enjoyed the guinguette, great friendly atmosphere and really pretty venue next to the river. It is quite hilly and probably less suitable for those with mobility issues unless you gave a car.

Rochecorbon is a historic village on the banks of the Loire, and was an important stop on the road between Tours and Germany (for the Romans) and on various pilgramage routes for Christians.
There are a number of lovely restaurants, and makes a good base to explore Tours with it's history and culture.

The village was a great place to stay.
The village was a great place to stay. Very pretty and very interesting. We so enjoyed our strolls around the village. Lots of fascinating buildings. And the history trail info is really helpful. Highly recommend Cafe Corbon, only 2 minutes walk away! A great place for coffee, wine, beer, food, people watching. Very friendly staff and although it was quiet and very chilled in the day, a real busy buzz in the evenings!
Rochecorbon was a delightful surprise to us. We weren't expecting quite such an interesting and beautiful village. There were several shops too, including 2 boulangeries. The little village school and church added normal life to this friendly, cheerful village. The walks up in the vineyards were perfect!

The uniqueness of the property and the views were stunning.
My wife has mobility issues so steps were difficult (my fault as I didn't read carefully enough), however, despite the difficulty she encountered getting to the property she has no regrets about the stay and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Facilities were extremely good and we enjoyed a self-cooked evening meal on the balcony watching the sunset across the Loire.

The Village of Rochecorbon is an interesting place, with...
The Village of Rochecorbon is an interesting place, with signed walks giving the village history and is located next to the river Loire. It has a couple of Local shops and two Boulangeries. It is a convenient location for visiting by car, places like Chateau Chenonceau, Amboise, and Villandry. Can get a bus into Tours. Its part of the Vouvray wine district with a Cave wine tour in the village.

Beautiful walks along the Loire, fantastic hosts, birdlife and troglodyte accommodation at Loire Sauvage, great little restaurants, pâtisseries, food store and souvenir shop, and the troglodyte housing around Rochecorbon is fascinating.

Beautiful hotel by the Loire, rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean, being partly inside the cave was ok, as the windows and patio doors were south facing and large, so room was filled with light. Food in the restaurant is excellent, service very attentive. Very nice outside terrace and pool areas. Ideal location for exploring the Loire Valley castles by car.

A fantastic experience in staying in a troglodyte room, the views out onto the Loire were also a delight. Marc Bredif is also next door so provides the perfect opportunity for a tour and wine tasting before walking back to our room. We ate at the hotel one evening and the food was excellent, as was the continental breakfast in the morning.

Such a quirky hotel, bedrooms carved out of a rock face, we had to include this on our last trip. Rooms were a great size, facilities good, restaurant was lovely with a great choice on the menu. Location was good.
Bar was great, really relaxed atmosphere, no rush to get us in the restaurant for our booking

Location excellent. Lovely walk into Tours along the banks of the Loire. Strolled around Tours then took taxi back to hotel.
