Our 2nd vidit here. Staff were lovely as usual. The nice, characterful rooms are clean. The breakfast was really good, and big. Although, you mainly have to drive here (there are some buses) The village. Is fantastic. Four great pubs, at least a couple do really nice food, and there's a really good Indian resturant. We've had two really enjoyable evenings there.

Arrived in the evening so didn’t have a meal but the breakfast was great. Nice friendly pub was good to relax with a drink after a long journey. Bit of a task to find the village through narrow lanes at times but was worth it. Would stay here again no hesitation. Room smallish but not an issue. Slept as well as i ever do when away in a strange bed. Lovely and quiet.

Four pubs. At least 2 do food.

Four pubs. At least 2 do food. Great Indian resturant and very friendly people. There's the ancient horn dance which takes place on the first Monday of each September from 8am (7.30am if you want to see the pre ceremony) till around 4pm. First recorded in 1226AD, It's one of Britain's oldest folk traditions still going today. There are some buses that go here. The 403, 402A and 817. Running between Burton and Uttoxeter but as they only run during the day and not very frequently, you might find it easier if you were driving.
