Gorgeous, spacious and beautifully decorated. The window seat in the lounge, over looking the town, was a great place to sit and people watch. The beach is so close too, perfect accommodation.

Lovely seaside town with lots of shops and cafes.

Lovely seaside town with lots of shops and cafes. Beach is stoney but always busy, from early morning wild swimming to family lunches and paddles. Much to see in the surrounding area, castles, landscapes, power stations. Try the roast at Thorpeness Golf Club, or a row on the boating lake.

The chief thing about Aldeburgh is that it's not just a resort town, but a fishing industry right on the beach, a shipyard and a thriving artistic community, including a cinema and a theatre. Oh, and fabulous fish and chips! What it doesn't have is children's amusements apart from a model boating lake, but families who come to Aldeburgh don't seem to mind that, in fact it's part of its charm. It's an oasis of calm, where you can slow down and bathe in a bit of old fashioned oeacefulness.

Friendly with good resources.

Friendly with good resources. We didnt eat out much but enjoyed the pizza at the White Hart in was yummy and staff there and in the Cross akeys where really friendly and quick service. Clean both in streets and on the beach. Great promenade to walk along with the dog. The main beach was closed to.dogs for the summer season however there were 2 stretches of beach on either end of the main beach where dogs were allowed off lead.

Upmarket seaside town with a lot of interesting features both in town and around and about. The only problem was the overflowing dustbins in the streets - not enough to keep up with visitor demand and not seagull proof

My Dad grew up in Aldeburgh and lived on the Terrace and in Crabbe Street before moving to London. We visited regularly in the holiday season and even at 71yrs of age, it is remarkably unchanged. Yes, it can get busy when schools break up but I still find it takes me right back to my childhood every time I visit. I live in Devon so came by train but despite the number of changes necessary, I shall continue to do so for as long as I can! There is nothing so relaxing as listening to the sea washing over the pebbles in the early morning or evenings and the sunrises and sunsets are simply stunning. The choice of eating places is excellent too and I truly want to end my days here!

The cottage is very well equipped for anything you may need. Whether it’s for a short or long stay.Perfect location. A short walk into Aldeburgh where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The coastal walk to Thorpness is lovely. Aldeburgh is a good location to visit many of the places on the Suffolk coastline. We visited Framlingham town and the Castle, also Snape Maltings . The castle was incredible. Both places well worth a visit.
