It was self catering. It has a well equipped kitchen with everything one might need. There were some high quality breakfast essentials in the fridge. There is a large well tenden and beautiful garden.

We did not spend much time in Ashford itself, but as far as we're told, there isn't much there. The Boy's Hall was a rather nice restaurant in the center and apparently there is a shopping outlet. I also went boxing at Bill's Boxing Club, which was the best, and my favourite thing in Ashford—but you need to be a boxer! Ashford is located nicely in the center of Kent, however, so from there we could make easy trips to Folkestone, Canterbury, Leeds Castle, and Rye, among others. For this, it is recommended, although it might be nice to stay only a day or two and then move on to the next place.

Leeds Castle is a great place to visit which is within 15 minutes of the Ashford. Port Lymph lodge and Safari Park in Hythe and Folkstone city centre next to the coast are 30 minutes away and great to visit. Ashford is close to many great places to visit in close proximity in Kent.

My sister lives in Ashford so we always stay over Christmas to see her have stayed in other hotels around Ashford but this hotel was so much better as it was central to town as we always eat and drink in town for our Christmas meal so was the first time we didn’t have to use cabs and just walked to everything which was so much more convenient. I honestly don’t know why Ive never stayed or looked at this hotel before but it’s definitely my go to from now on

Great place for a peaceful get away from London.

Great place for a peaceful get away from London. You can go berserk shopping at the Ashford International Outlets. Go to the city center for quaint quite cafes. The Shopping center in the city center has also got some great deals (but i was there close to Christmas and other times of the year could be different). From Ashord, roundtrips to London central, Dover, Ipswich, Folkestone, Canterbury can be done in a day. Dover castle is open only on weekend, went there on a weekday and found it closed.

Pleasant.

Pleasant. Would not stay again until there is a refurb and walls are soundproof due to hearing moans and groans in the room next door at 12am. I was staying with my daughter and it was not a nice experience. Jacuzzi has been faulty for over a month. Breakfast was mediocre, not good quality ingredients.

The property is well appointed and ideally located for Ashford’s amenities. We made good use of the Outlet Village and Tesco Extra during our stay. The house is modern and well equipped, and we were kept warm despite the cold weather during our stay. The pool table and dart board were enjoyed by our children.

Really efficient staff. Clean and reasonable standard of furniture in the room. Would rate higher than a premier inn - so would say an upmarket premier inn. Has got access to a gym. Breakfast is easy, fast and loads of variety. This is perfect for my business travel in Kent

The Conningbrook is a decent country hotel with delightful summertime facilities. The rooms are sufficiently comfortable and always the stay is good value overall. Car parking is good and it is well-positioned for the Downs and the Kent coast
