We found the Hall itself and surrounding gardens enchanting. It has vintage charm and modern convenience. Our Superior room was excellent with a spacious bedroom, luxurious linens and toiletries and a beautiful bathroom tucked in the eves. The name of the room was Mannington and I would recommend requesting it. We both thought the room was a good value. The dinner in the restaurant was truly exceptional in terms of fresh local ingredients and imaginative combinations of taste and texture.

We wanted a peaceful place to stay, with somewhere we could sit and enjoy the view. We enjoyed pottering in the shops and cafés as well. It is really well situated to visit other towns nearby (we went to Wells and Holt) and we really enjoyed our boat trip to see the seals from Morston which was really close.

Blakeney is a lovely unspoilt village with lovely walks along the coastal path .... 3 miles to Cley, 8 miles to Wells ( if you like walking). Lots of interesting places to visit within a 30 minute car journey, or use the coastal hopper buses. Holkham hall is a must!

Blakeney is full of character.

Blakeney is full of character. It has really nice friendly people in the shops and the cafe on the waterfront. The tide goes out a very long way leaving a bare sandy stream. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. Parking is OK for a day if you can use the NT site on the waterfront if the tide is not up but long term overnight is hard to find.

Blakeney is a delightful, quiet seaside village full of character, with pleasant walks over the marshes and around the village itself. The delightful town of Holt is closeby and all of the north Norfolk Coast is worth seeing. There's plenty of wildlife, such as seals and waterfowl to see. Apart from the Manor Hotel there are other places to eat and drink, all very pleasant! The village is slightly hilly, but shouldn't present too many problems for the disabled. We live in Norwich and visit it often. But this was the first time we've stayed overnight. It will not be the last!

We go to Blakeney a lot as we have a caravan near Holkham but obviously can't use it during the Winter. After a busy Christmas and friends over from America we decided to have an overnight stay in North Norfolk and this hotel had a great offer for New Years Day. It was freezing and actually snowed lightly. Beautiful Christmas lights at the Blakeney Hotel on the front and also on a large boat in the harbour. There are so many walks around Blakeney, we walked to Morston along the front from where you can usually go by various companies by boat to see the seals at Blakeney Point. We had originally booked to have dinner at the White Horse which is one of the 2 pubs in Blakeney, the other being the atmospheric Kings Arms ( there is also a great social club down the High St which very often features live music)Sadly the chef at the White Horse was ill so we hastily booked into our hotel, The Manor after having a drink in the Blakeney Hotel's beautiful lounge by the log fire. Our dinner was fabulous and our rooms were warm and cosy, a real retreat from the cold weather with great views of the harbour and the sea beyond. Breakfast was not included so we popped next door to the very popular Two Magpies bakery, had a bit of a wait for a table but the staff super efficient-great breakfast menu and the take-away cakes and pastries are Yummy! Dog-friendly as most places in North Norfolk are. What I should be saying is that it's all horrible and you shouldn't go (because we don't want it overwhelmed with tourists) It's lovely and there is a great walk to Wiverton up the road/NT path, it used to be a great fruit farm and cafe, sadly only a cafe now, and beyond that you find Cley with the beautiful windmill and deli. Enjoy!

We love the Norfolk Coast always plenty to see and do, we have dogs so we love the local beaches and woods. We try and go twice a year usually around my husbands birthday in November and mine in February. We love Wells on sea as we park up then walk to the beach until we reach the café then return along the path through the woods takes about 2hrs .

The cabin was set in the most beautiful garden. It is small, as expected, but included absolutely everything you would need for an overnight stay. The hosts were delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. It is about a 5 minute walk into Blakeney.
