There was everything we needed. It was good to have bowels, plates, glasses and cutlery supplied also handy to have a fridge. It was also nice to have seating outside in the garden for use in good weather.

Bradwell on Sea was a charming place with a marina offering...

Bradwell on Sea was a charming place with a marina offering food and rest areas. Plenty of choice for food from pubs and restaurants. We ate at the Marina outside and the view was lovely and the food and service was good. The Green Man an old established pub right on the salt marsh opposite Mersea island had a garden and a short walk you could sea the sand on Mersea island across the water. A post office and general store is he only convenience store. There is a good fish and chip shop. Not a great deal of entertainment for children.

We enjoyed the coast paths, the village church of St Thomas...

We enjoyed the coast paths, the village church of St Thomas and the remarkable St Peter's isolated right on the coast. We really appreciated the community shop, run by volunteers, & the D1 bus service that got us here! Without bus & shop, we couldn't have got here or fed ourselves. The Cricketers is a nice quiet pub that does really good old-fashioned lunches and the Green Man by the waterside part of the village is worth a walk out too. Lots to see on the coast path if you like walking.
