We stayed for one night at the gorgeous Smith Townhouse Hotel and absolutely loved it. Our room was delightful – cosy, warm, spotless and beautifully designed. The interiors throughout the hotel were stylish and welcoming, giving the whole place a wonderful atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We spent time relaxing in the café by the log fire, which felt like the perfect way to unwind. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. A special mention to Emma and her staff, who were charming from start to finish and made us feel so welcome. I emailed Emma a few days before our stay and she replied quickly with really helpful information, which made everything even smoother. We’re already looking forward to returning – highly recommended!

We spent most of our time in Margate, as we booked here for an event in Margate over the weekend as no accommodation left in Margate but on our last day (Monday) was spent in Broadstairs visiting some of the boutiques, lunch at Albion Hotel restaurant and on the beach.

Broadstairs is a lovely and charming seaside town with...

Broadstairs is a lovely and charming seaside town with several tidal sandy beaches and lively pubs and restaurants. Great for a meal out, a full day out or simply for a weekend away. In the summer, Viking Bay Beach (the town's busier main beach) has lifeguards, as does the nearby Stone Bay Beach (which is quieter but quite lovely with it's Chalk cliffs and row of colourful beach huts).

Lovely quaint town. Lovely sandy beach.

Lovely quaint town. Lovely sandy beach. Cute shops and places to eat. Everything in walking distance. Ate at Posillipo (not dog friendly so got pizzas takeaway - delish), The Little Sicilian (dog friendly on the terrace) and fish and chips at Star of the Sea. Visited the Dickens House - small so easy to do and the short talk was worth listening to and interesting. Morelli’s icecream is a must!

Lovely seaside town with all the facilities for a fabulous family holiday in the "old fashioned way" Pubs, take aways and restaurants to meet the full range of tastes and budgets. Fish and chips mandatory, as is ice cream ! Clean and tidy town Lovely well maintained crazy golf. 12 holes set in beautifully maintain gardens Lots of intetesting Dickens connections. The Dickens musrum and Bleak House are "Must Sees" for Dickens fans.

Free parking a few minutes back from beach.

Free parking a few minutes back from beach. We used the Loop bus service for both Ramsgate and Margate. All types of food on offer and a Tesco near the bottom of High Street. Beach very clean and accessible by boardwalk and lift. Good facilities on beach, beds, drinks and umbrellas plus a couple of rides for children. People seem happy there.

It is a quaint seaside town.

It is a quaint seaside town. We didn't go on the town centre beach at Viking Bay, but only because there are more scenic beaches at Joss Bay and Botany Bay only 2 miles away with easy car parking.

Well located hotel overlooking the sea and harbour at Viking Bay, Broadstairs. Very comfortable but the hotel was in the midst of a refurbishment which meant it was probably not looking quite at its best. For example, walls were being filled and repainted as we were there. But the bedroom has been completed and was nice. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and an OK restaurant for other meals (although Broadstairs has a massive choice of places to eat, even in the winter).

Great location, minutes from a beautiful beach and a wonderful sea view from my room. The family who run the B&B are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The continental breakfasts are excellent with interesting choices. It is a short walk to the centre of Broadstairs which has many good cafe and restaurants. A perfect place to stay for a week.

The hotel was in a great location, 10mins walk down hill to the main town. It was very clean and breakfast was nice with a good choice of hot food and continental options. The staff were friendly. The car park was a bonus. Broadstairs was lovely with a good range of bars and restaurants.
