Nice rooms, nice touch with bottled water and biscuits. Well stocked with toiletries. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Thai food for dinner and the Welsh breakfast the next day was wonderful. Convenient location.

Lovely little town, everything is in walking distance and...

Lovely little town, everything is in walking distance and everyone is lovely. Everything reasonably priced too. Parking felt like it was the cheapest things of the weekend and there was plenty of it. We went to eat in a lot of different places, our favourite was Sunday dinner because it was huge. We even had time to watch the tractor run which was spectacular. There are also many shop to have a nosy around so I could have easily spent a fortune there

Lovely little town on the River Wye.

Lovely little town on the River Wye. Good facilities and some nice independent shops including a Tailor. Very easy access to the Brecon Beacons. Very easy access to the major north and south routes. The town seems, friendly with a nice park and a cinema. There is also a golf course.

The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous.

The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous. Fantastic people working there, the food is excellent, with large portions, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. There are quite a few pubs in Builth Wells centre, but nome of them match the Seven Stars at Aberedw. Visit the White Hart in Builth Wells, a locals pub, but they make you feel very welcome.

All the pubs seem to have been recently renovated, many with views at the back over the river Wye. My favourite was the Barley Mow. Good real ale. Had a very nice fish and chips on the main street. A great little town. Next time will explore the reaches of the River Wye more.

Builth is a nice place to visit with lots of interesting things nearby, the mountains around are stunning and the dark sky was great for any stargazing. We ate out in a nearby pub which was very pleasant.

I cannot fault this little gem of a hotel.

I cannot fault this little gem of a hotel. I travel around to check out hotels etc. I rarely call any hotel a little gem but this one ticked all the boxes. If you want to treat someone to a nice meal that is reasonably priced and amazing then this is the place to go. If your in wales on holiday then do not miss an opportunity to stay here. The Thai food was so authentic.

Breakfast was great. Choice of cereals and yoghurts and a full cooked breakfast with whatever you want for £10. Hotel is located within the showground about a 30 minute walk from the town centre if you want to go, though there is a bar and restaurant on site so you don't need to go anywhere if you don't want to... Builth Wells is central in Wales so this made a great base for days out round Wales on our motorbikes (Steve the proprietor was very helpful with suggestions for routes).

Fab location for Royal Welsh Showground. Gorgeous partment beautifully decorated and with all the little touches. Beds were extremely comfortable. I've been staying at various place in and around Builth for over 30 plus years and this apartment ranks highly know my top 3.
