What a lovely little find. Really welcoming staff. We had the family room with an extra bed as travelling with teenagers and husband. Was beautiful and spacious, we didn't feel at all cramped. Lovely breakfast with eggs benedict as a choice. Yummy.

The Cottage itself was gorgeous mixing vintage with modern furniture and decor. Loved the heated pool, lake activities and vibe of the area. The food was also amazing for lunch.

Quiet, lots of wildlife and the river to enjoy.

Quiet, lots of wildlife and the river to enjoy. Within easy reach of Lowe5, Great Yarmouth, Norwich, The Broads, Fritton Lake, and many other attractions. Good restaurant on site, and a swimming pool. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. Interesting church nearby. Great views.

The church at Burgh St Peter worth a visit, as is Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve. Good food in the restaurant though opening times are limited. The Wherry at Oulton Broad good for food. Quiet, rural roads. Lots of birds to see including Marsh Harriers. Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft are nearby, with good beaches. Southwold has a fab chippy. Beccles has Twyfords tea room - wonderful food. And a nice walk along the river afterwards

Pleasant staff.

Pleasant staff. Hearty breakfast, swimming pool and a spacious room. Downsides were remote location meant for us needing to use the car to get anywhere. To use the free WiFi you need to navigate endless hurdles to register whilst using a poor mobile signal.

An unusual riverside location down a country lane with no passing traffic. Marina on site, indoor swimming pool adjacent. Lovely and peaceful, wonderful location for the bar in the summer overlooking hundreds of acres of meadows and the river. Not all rooms have a view of the river, ours did. Locally the transport museum near Lowestoft and the aviation museum near Flixton (I think) are both truly excellent, volunteer-run places to visit where the exhibits are numerous, you can touch them, no interactive video rubbish and no dumbing down. The volunteers are all experts and proper cups of tea are available. The aviation museum is free (but obviously donate) and the transport museum is also very good value for money - even found the exact trolley bus, I mean the very one I used to ride on in my youth!
