We didn't visit Castle Donnington itself but we did call in...

We didn't visit Castle Donnington itself but we did call in at Breedon on the Hill and Ashby de la Zouche. By the way, The Donnington Grand Prix collection does not exist any longer. The collection was sold in 2018, and loaned cars returned to their owners. Those premises are now used for motor cycles.

We stayed overnight with the 8 days parking included as we...

We stayed overnight with the 8 days parking included as we flew to Spain. The walk from the hotel is fine and we were able to deposit our suitcases the night before. Up and out at 3.30pm so no breakfast, but we at the evening before at The Plough Inn in Diseworth. Getting a taxi, it was a couple of miles up the road. The pub was busy, but the food was excellent and lovely to sit in the beer garden as it was a warm, sunny day.

The location from the Airport was good.

The location from the Airport was good. I would have driven and parked during my trip in the guest house! Carpark. Unfortunately that option seems to have changed to a rather more pounds and pence cost. I am sure this is to be represented on an Executives bonus within the chain. Everything else was way over priced for the received service. I guess though this price is the price you pay for convenience over quality of hot food and the extra cost of it being delived warm to your room.. ( Room Service ) is not a luxury. It is just somtimes neccesary. I have stayed here several times in the past, but it has changed in the wrong direction as far as a customer is concerned. The point is, who cares as long as money and bonuses are gained. There is always another customer. Right.

Easy to travel by car.

Easy to travel by car. Area seems very pleasant, signage to airport car park was very good, and easy to get to, considering ot was our first time parking at EMA. It would be good to have a free drop off point at the airport, considering the night before we had a heavy snow fall, which made it difficult with our cases, from car to airport. Our return to car (no snow) was really straight forward.

The staff really make this hotel - they are friendly and welcoming special mention for Sophie and David!! Everyone goes above and beyond can highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was lovely and evening meal was fantastic.

Lovely clean hotel, stayed in a studio which had plenty of room. Lovely comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen (not that we used it), small but perfect bathroom, great shower with toiletries provided. Excellent location in the centre of Castle Donington and close to Donington Park Circuit. Use of the communal kitchen was an added bonus, fully stocked for breakfast.

Friendly staff on check in and check out, the room was very spacious - more so than I imagined, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the wifi was easy to get on to and the TV and iron both worked! The hotel and room itself had great character.

It was a decent hotel, very clean and spacious rooms and public areas well kept too, didn’t try the restaurant but the bar was fine and not overpriced. Staff were friendly and helpful. For the price it was great value for money.
