Room was really clean, large and bad was comfortable. View of my room was excellent. I did not have a chance to eat in the restaurant but I had breakfast, it was also delicious and perfect.

The community spirit is simply top of the league.

The community spirit is simply top of the league. There are a lot of clubs, sports and something for everyone. It feels very safe and a friendly place. Highly commend the Cross keys for accommodation, with somewhere to eat and drink.

I have family who live in Chatteris so have been there many...

I have family who live in Chatteris so have been there many times in the past though it has become much more built-up since I last went there. We actually drove out of Chatteris to eat on both nights but that was due to family recommendations. Close to Ely and Peterborough both with beautiful cathedrals and also not far from Cambridge so a good sort of central point for Fen Country (very flat).

There were other rooms which were really nice and wonderful...

There were other rooms which were really nice and wonderful bathroom facilities. Just not ours and I know this because there was a group of us who stayed one was given different accommodation because of the room number 5 over the bar too much noise they could not sleep. Website needs up dating as it states pub bar shut at 11pm but it was 12am ok

Unfortunately I only stayed one night, so did not walk around the town. But having lived in the area previously for 30 years I know that the town is a very pleasant market town in the Fens, and is well worth a visit. Also a good staging post for visiting the nearby towns and villages, ie Ely, Cambridge.

A quiet but lovely little town with a very friendly...

A quiet but lovely little town with a very friendly atmosphere and sense of community. A bonus of visiting in December is the Christmas lights, which add extra charm. The only negative, when visiting family in the town, is the lack of a railway station - without a car, it takes a cab ride from Ely or Huntingdon (the nearest stations) to get there.

Stayed due to family illness in area, but enjoyed the relaxing drink in the pleasent bar, food available didn't have but looked and smelt great our port in a storm, so was extremely important to us.reccomend this accommodation but the outside made me very happy

It was the perfect location for what I went to Chatteris for. The room was cosy and the bed comfy. Tea and coffee available in room and a good, up to date, TV with all the channels I use at home. Locked securely - just right for me on my own. Lady staff member kindly carried my case up to the room and bag and case back down when I left. She also put me in a room on a lower floor as I was supposed to be at the top but she noticed I struggled a bit on the stairs so swapped me round. Big thanks for all that.
