The cathedral is wonderful, and the galleries and museum are...
The cathedral is wonderful, and the galleries and museum are all worth a visit. The Oxmarket is small but charming and larger Pallant House is challenging for those uncertain about modern art but interesting nevertheless. The Novium museum traces the history of the town and kept our interest for a couple of hours. It contains a fascinating exhibition on the significance of the now-closed local Shippams factory very near where we were staying. Plenty of good restaurants - the Ivy, Brasserie Blanc and Giggling Squid - and we had an enjoyable, simpler (and cheaper!) meal at Santorini: wholesome Greek fare. The quality of the performances at the Festival Theatre (we saw My Fair Lady) remains as high as ever.

An excellent small City with so many engaging features: Cathedral and Bishop's Palace Garden, Festival Theatre, Roman Palace in Fishbourne all first rate. As first time visitors, we were smitten!

Chichester Festival theatre is a joy, high quality productions and a spacious well designed auditorium. Great shopping centre with high end and independent shops a wide range of restaurants and bars. Canal , park ,Spend time in the city or use as a base to explore the surrounding areas

We stayed one night in Chichester as we were visiting...
We stayed one night in Chichester as we were visiting Dunyreth Alpaca experience and as the weather was good we chose to go to Bracklesham Bay the day before and Boshsm Quay after the alpaca trek. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the area and it was just what we needed to relax and unwind on a short break away. It's an area we would like to explore more as its only an hour from where we live.

A visit to the cathedral and the surrounding shops is worth while. Parking in the City Centre is difficult but there are long stay alternatives on the ring road. Many other interesting sites in the area.

Nice town area and lovely gardens.
Nice town area and lovely gardens. The cathedral is worth a visit and there are plenty of places to eat.
We particularly liked Brasserie Blanc at the top of the town service was excellent as was the food.

A lovely few days in Chichester booked late, haven't been to the town before. Hotel is the center of town parking 🅿️ at the rear and short walk inside. The room was on the first floor, a very steep set of stairs to get up , room was clean and comfortable and no issues with it, Big breakfast in the morning and lots of choices to eat, staff were lovely, Stephen and Saskia were friendly very helpful and wanted us to enjoy our stay which we did, we will be coming back

Always like to stay in this hotel when in Chichester - a convenient and quiet location within easy walking distance of the city centre, cathedral and Pallant House Art Gallery. Always a warm and friendly welcome, comfortable rooms and an excelllent freshly cooked breakfast with home made bread / toast.

Great location with local bus links to Chichester. Nice walk from the hotel to Chichester Marina. Lovely restaurants - we ate at both the pizza restaurant and the main hotel restaurant. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfasts with good choices. Comfortable room with everything you could need.
