United KingdomQuiet and comfortable short stay on a long cycle tour. Pub opposite was good too, however be quick they stop serving at 8pm. Excellent breakfast powered me to Land's End! Sue even found me some sun cream which i'd forgotten. Thank you !

We enjoyed a truly lovely stay at this charming bed & breakfast — a serene countryside retreat wrapped in classic English charm. The traditional gardens are absolutely enchanting, full of blooms and tucked-away corners that invite lingering walks and quiet moments. The surrounding countryside is simply gorgeous, offering peaceful views that soothe and inspire; my husband even joked about coming back to write a novel here.
Our hosts were warm, gracious, and wonderfully attentive, kindly accommodating our specific dietary needs with thoughtfulness and ease. A small practical note about the bathrooms: they feature a more traditional U.S.-style fixed shower, which we appreciated, and deep bathtubs that are perfect for a long soak (they can be a bit tall for less mobile guests).
Do bear in mind the location is somewhat remote, so transportation is advisable — local taxis will bring you into town for about £10. All in all, a restful, picturesque escape with genuine hospitality. Highly recommended.

Lovely vibe in the town square.
Good parking facilities.
Unfortunately we didn't find toilet facilities, other than cafes

I can honestly say this was the best B&B experience I’ve...
I can honestly say this was the best B&B experience I’ve ever had — and I’ve stayed in many B&Bs across the country over the years. The room was spotless, cosy, and very spacious, with incredible attention to detail. Everything you could possibly need had been thought of and catered for. Breakfast was absolutely to die for, and Sue was an amazing host who made the whole stay feel special. I couldn’t recommend Hillside B&B highly enough!

Crediton and its neighbouring village of Sandford has lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants and its Town Square was very lively and full of character
We ate in The Three Little Pigs and had a wonderful meal, all the staff were very friendly & helpful, great vibe

We have come to know the town over the past few years and...
We have come to know the town over the past few years and thoroughly enjoy our periodic visits. There are very good facilities and a small town atmosphere which we like very much with a good range of independent businesses, good swimming pool is an asset.
Crediton is an excellent jumping off point/centre for travelling into Devon to visit the many places of interest there.

The Lamb Inn is in Sandford.
The Lamb Inn is in Sandford. A beautiful little village, but on a long and winding road from Credition. Crediton, like most towns, is suffering from the current economic situation, but it was interesting and the market square is a hub for the locals and there are a good few coffee houses.

Superb family run hotel with really thoughtful attention to detail. Room was comfortable and spotless. Common room with kitchen facilities, milk in fridge and biscuits was a bonus. Two wheel theme was right up my street.
Continental breakfast was excellent, the egg boiler was foolproof!
No hesitation in highly recommending.

Absolute home from home with so many thoughtful touches, including many kitchen provisions. We stayed a week very comfortably and enjoyed both Crediton and lovely locations around Devon. The train to Exeter is under 15 mins walk which was very useful. We slept very well on the extremely comfortable bed and lovely bed linen.

The staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was fantastic. The room and bathroom were spacious. We actually booked to stay at the Ship because we ate breakfast there one day and it was so good that we decided to book overnight the next time we came to Crediton. Thank you.
