Location was fabulous, overlooking the estuary with the rising hills dotted with sheep behind the pool house. As a vegan the breakfast was adequate. The bread wasn't great. Used to sourdough not pre sliced white bread. Tofu scramble would have been nice. The tea was good and there was my preferred plant based milk.

Our room was stunning with absolutely magnificent views over the bay. The bed was super comfy and the room beautifully clean. The staff are lovely and so helpful. We had a fabulous weekend and are already planning our next visit!

The rooms were well proportioned, clean and probably too warm (although it was sunny and the room probably heated up due to the sun). The staff were very helpful. The hotel itself was luxurious and in great repair. It was great to have a Nespresso machine in the room, I don't function until I have had a decent coffee in the morning. The leisure centre had everything we needed to relax, pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room.

What a surprise!

What a surprise! Having only passed through on previous visits it was lovely to walk around the village. We luckily were there for the scarecrow festival so loads of activity going on. Local pub was great and very friendly,

East Budleigh is a beautiful village, only two miles from...

East Budleigh is a beautiful village, only two miles from the sea, but a world away from the touristy side of Devon. Unspoilt in other words. The community run pub The Sir Walter Raleigh, is traditional and everything, and more, that a village pub should be.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on this. There was a huge storm during our stay and we got stock inside throughout the entire time. It does definitely look like a nice area where we would be looking to return to explore more of it.

The local community run pub in the village was really friendly with good food. Easy location for visits to Budleigh Salterton , Sidmouth or Exmouth. Plenty of hiking options in the area which are all well sign posted.
