Me and 4 other friends had a 3 night stay at this perfect location.This lodge is situated only 10 min away from Banchory(easy access to shops and pubs),in a very quiet area. Although it s placed among other lodges,we barely saw or heard anyone over the 3 nights stay,so we had plenty of privacy.The modern kitchen is fully equipped and the entire place is squeaky clean. There is a big dining table that can sit 8 ppl and a huge TV for a lazy night in(Prime,Netflix,etc all this available) Bedrooms(can accommodate up to 8 ppl) were nice and tidy, as shown on the website. 2 spotless bathrooms.What made it even better was the host,Lorraine,who would literally answer any eventual question in real time,over text messages.There was a malfunction with the hot tub so she had a BIG Lazy Spa delivered just in time for our stay, which was a good enough replacement for all of us.we most certain made use of it. We all appreciated the interest shown and the effort put in giving us a 5 star stay,considering the unforseen situation.We d definitely go back there.

The property was beautiful including the grounds which were an incredible view. Food and bar was outstanding as was the service. It’s definitely out of the way to get to but well worth it.

The history of the place, the building itself and superb location in the forest. Rustic harm of the property and all wooden encrustations and carving are simply amazing. Food was very good at the local restaurant plus a moderate selection of good whiskies . Cozy fireplace was lit during the evening. Great staff!

This is the nicest hotel I have stayed in in Scotland- spotlessly clean, beautiful bedroom and the main common areas are beautifully and tastefully finished - a recent renovation is to a very high standard. The owners run the hotel very professionally. The front desk staff are very helpful and experienced, as are the staff that look after you at breakfast. Just a wonderful experience for me. It has a fascinating history tied to Queen Victoria. I highly recommend

Great apartment, spacious with lots of extras that are so helpful. Lovely views of the hills. Fab little farm shop and cafe just down the road. Within east reach of Banchory and Stonehaven. Owners very friendly and helpful. There is a folder jam packed with information for visitors.
