"Cluny Hill Is Awaiting You Review - email" .... well I reviewed it already because I stayed at the start of my road trip and it was so good I booked again for the end of the trip ;) its a lovely place --- look it up on wikipedia, not as popular now as it was in the past BUT actually freshly decorated and very comfy, book now whilst its still cheap because if the new owner does this place up and markets it well it should make a premium top notch place for a top notch price.

I liked the peaceful location, the cleanliness, and the facilities. We had everything that we needed, and it was a lovely upgrade from camping. Having our own bathroom and kitchen in the pod makes it convenient and comfortable compared to similar places we have stayed in the past. We enjoyed making use of the BBQ/ fire pit that has been provided for each pod.

If I could give this an 11 I would. The room was super comfortable , private, quiet, spotless, great bed with an incredible bathing area. The owners were more than friendly;they made us feel welcome and genuinely cared. After several days when we needed to leave VERY early to travel Graham met us personally at 6 am to help us with our bags. Breakfast was served family style… this was a true inn. The area is just far enough from a small town to give the feeling of staying in a real Scottish estate. If you’re going to the Speyside area, this should be your first choice.

Forres is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, cafes...

Forres is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, cafes and bars. There is a brilliant park area with woodland walks. It is really close to lots of stunning beaches and coastal towns. It is a great base for a holiday because it so close to everywhere. Including Inverness and Loch Ness. We stayed for three days and will need to return because there is plenty more to explore!

Sweet little town with one street of shops, a thriving community.. Findhorn nearby is fabulous... The Bakehouse with well selected organic fruit and veg and fab takeaway food, The Phoenix Cafe and The Phoenix shop in the Eco Village are brilliant too. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. And the beach is exceptional

An amazing old market town with wonderful history and lots...

An amazing old market town with wonderful history and lots to explore around the area. The high street is fabulous with lots of shops and cafes as well as old historic buildings to look at and the various whinds and alleyways to explore can take you all day. The community has recently purchased the large gothic cathedral and is turning into an arts centre so plenty of opportunities for events to attend with this venue and others in the vicinity.

Forres is a lovely friendly town.

Forres is a lovely friendly town. It has lots of shops to browse. Grants parks amazing for children and any 4 legged friends. Chimes is a Great coffee shop. There was lots going on within the town with it being Remembrance Sunday.

we loved the house and garden,the hot tub,everything was great,the down side was the river was to fast to allow the kids or dogs to go in and the garden wasnt secure but we managed fine,would like to rebook for 2023

I can’t say enough positive things about the lovely Lily...

I can’t say enough positive things about the lovely Lily Cottage. It was spotlessly clean,well appointed and has everything that one would need for a fantastic holiday in Findhorn. Pub, Bakehouse, Hotel, Cafe and beaches all within walking distance. Parked my car for the duration of the stay. Didn’t need it. The cottage is finished to a high standard and beautifully furnished.

This is not a hotel, it has no restaurant, no lounge, no bar, no manned reception, no heating in the bathroom, no heating in the corridors leading to the six rental rooms. No facilities. The Old Mill website is out of date and misleading. Cannot recommend.

This is a very basic hotel, reflecting the price. It was clean and reasonably comfortable. And if all you need is a bed for thr night it's great value. There are no frills, shared bathrooms, no bar or restaurant. You get what you pay for.

Contactless Check in is well explained and straightforward, room is clean and comfortable, lovely quiet location, beautiful house, but only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Forres. This was my second visit and I'll definitely return again.
