A nice market town with easy countryside walks.

A nice market town with easy countryside walks. The bakery is a highlight, 70p for scones and £1.50 for a generous slice of cake. The town has a Sainsburys, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, M&S food, Iceland, and Heron Foods. It's easy to walk to Guisborough Forest and join the Cleveland Trail.

We enjoyed everything.

We enjoyed everything. The room, food and staff all excellent. We were disturbed by a sad dog barking for ages but it was dealt with quickly. Excellent accommodation in the woodland wing. Saltburn close by on the coast. Guisbrough a short walk with plenty of shops. Roseberry topping to climb if you're fit.

Guisborough is a nice place, its a busy market town close to the east coast. Lovely area for a visit, lots of shops and things in the area. If staying in the area, it can be noisy at night with traffic, so stay on outskirts if traffic noise bothers you.

Guisborough was a prime location and home base to visit the Moors, Dales, Whitby, York, Staithes. Saltburn by the Sea, etc. The people were very friendly and the town had lovely tea rooms and cafes . There were great walking trails and the Priory was a peaceful spot to visit, sit a spell and take some photos

Lovely little place with plenty of shops, cafe, restaurants and bars. Guisborough priory is free and well worth a look around we enjoyed reading the history of the place. We went into a pub over the road from the priory called the monk, they had a glass floor where the monks used the tunnel to sneak out of the priory. Lovely coffee shop koslieng with great pastries and coffee. We got a jacket potato from a potato van called the spud doctor in the high street, excellent value for money, hot and very tasty a great little find.

The cottage is right in the centre of Guisborough, literally 2 minutes walk from its lovely high street with its bars, restaurants cafes and shops. The house is spotless with very comfortable beds. It has a modern bathroom with shower over the bathtub. Plenty of hot water . Everything you need for your stay. It’s in a perfect spot for visiting all the surrounding area too . There is ample parking close by for £2 a day ( in the local nursing home car park) .

Location is central in Guisborough High Street, parking was outside the cottage, Wetherspoons is over the road so easy for breakfast and drinks although other pubs are within 100 yards. Plenty of local books and leaflets in the cottage with info on what to do and local attractions. Lisa is a great hostess, helped with the car parking permit and there was milk, biscuits and other goodies left for us when we arrived

Loved the location, walking distance to the town and less than a mile away from Guisborough Hall, where we were attending a wedding. The owners were kind enough to allow us to drop our bags off early and get changed for the wedding after a long drive.
