I like old style pubs and this was old style the food was lovely and good valve for money .Staff was lovely and helpful when needed will stop again

The location is so lovely! You are taken back and feels like you are in a different world! The food was amazing. They clearly take pride in their food here! The rooms were super clean! I used to clean 5 Star rooms in college--so I have an eye for this! Rooms were also super cozy with the cutest view of the river! Also, they are the perfect size--and on the bigger side for space. The staff seemed family oriented --super nice and went above and beyond for us! I have never experienced such hospitality.

Very friendly staff always willing to help. Excellent breakfast and delicious lamb shank for lunch/dinner. Beautiful garden for a drink or just relax under the sun.

Room was much bigger than expected! Very clean, easy to get to and access. The restaurant below the rooms is also fantastic and very popular. Staff was kind, professional, and super helpful.

Lovely hotel in a lovely village. We had an early leave in the morning and the host was able to prepare me and my partner breakfast 1 AND A HALF HOURS BEFORE BREAKFAST OPENS! Any one that has anything remotely negative to say about this place is a moron! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Comfortable cosy room, very clean, large bathroom with big bathtub, thoughtful details such as a radio, bathrobes and local springwater

Very warm welcome, , the pub felt like home from home , our small dog Thistle loved it , evening meal was superb, and I have to say having stayed in many places in our lives the breakfast was one other best ever , A big thanks to all the staff at the Horse and Jockey Tideswell , we will be back soon there

Lovely historic property in prime location in Bakewell. Fantastic reception staff. Suggest booking a room in main building.

Great breakfast, very nice room with Nespresso, good wifi, very nice staff, ample parking, location very close to Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.

This is an exquisite hotel, located near Chatsworth.......you feel like nobility, after visiting Chatsworth and then staying here! It was a superb experience to do both. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff treat you like visiting royalty! We had dinner in the garden room and loved it.

Everything. Breakfast was lovely. Tasting menu was amazing. Staff were great, especially the girl on the reception/room service who we saw the most. Would visit again and highly recommend. Stayed in one of the ?garden rooms (seperate building with large room and bathroom). Was a very pleasant stay. Peaceful and private.

Lovely breakfast, great room with thoughtful amenities, amazingly close to Chatsworth. We loved every second of our time there
