It is an old Inn located in a beautiful region. We made small excursions to Bodium Castle, Great Dixter House and Gardens, and smaller villages and their churches nearby. The Pub in the hotel was warm and inviting. Harry Cox and his staff went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed generous meals, fun entertainment, and cozy atmosphere!

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful inn with historical character. Very comfortable rooms and beds with modern bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Adequate free parking in the lot outside. Very nice small touches like a small thermos of fresh milk left outside the door every morning for tea. Absolutely outstanding fully cooked breakfast supplemented with Continental breakfast items as well. An additional plus was the absolutely delicious evening meals available in the Restaurant/Pub located downstairs. The chef running the kitchen is clearly very talented. The Queen's Inn surpassed our expectations on all counts, and we would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

Lovely hosts and excellent location for visiting the fabulous National Trust properties and famous gardens in the area. Never had to drive more than 30 mins to these bucket list locations. The studio was bright and cosy, superbly fitted out, with awesome westerly sunset views west over the fields. Sitting on the outdoor patio, listening to the birdsong and watching the sunset = wonderful!

Kiki, Chris and their staff added a delightful personal touch to a very pleasant B&B in a delightful setting. The room was excellent and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. Somehow, the Farmhouse seems to attract pleasant people and the afternoon tea and breakfasts became delightful social gatherings. Perfect setting for visiting Sissinghurst Gardens (of course) as well as the other gardens and attractions in the area. We stayined for five nights and wished we could have stayed longer.

Most liked was warm welcome from front of house host, and the lovely waiting staff evening meal and breakfast Also loved brownies and tea/coffee facilities with “real milk” Comfy bed and nice bathroom & shower Lovely breakfast in my case ( my hubby was. Little disappointed in his full English breakfast choice as the bacon was a bit burnt and mushrooms were tough - but he ate a good deal of it nevertheless! Least liked was dull lighting in room, worn/dull carpet and not enough socket points for plugging in our appliances to get full charge for next day. But these were small points - more to signal what you could do to upgrade in time ahead? We enjoyed our sty😀

Hawkhurst has clearly had a colourful past.

Hawkhurst has clearly had a colourful past. Architecture in several styles from different periods has been preserved, making a walk around the town an interesting activity. It’s a busy town but at a comfortable level. The smuggling that took place long ago is worth researching.

There is nothing to see or do in Hawkhurst, but it is a good base if you want to visit places along the Kent/East Sussex border, like Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Bateman’s, Bodiam Castle and Rye.

Food was amazing.

Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

The owners greeted us on arrival and were very welcoming. Although they leave you to enjoy your stay, they also advised that if we needed anything, to knock or give them a call. The coach house had all the expected amenities and is spacious and comfortable. The location is secluded but in close proximity of the village of Hawkhurst and many local attractions. Would definitely book the coach house again.

The owner is very friendly, welcoming and kindly gifted us a free bottle of wine to compensate for the road diversions that were in place to the property at the time of our travel. It was very well located for our needs (we were selling at The Wealden Summer Fair) and an easy walk into Hawkhurst to the fabulous Eight Bells Pub. It was clean, comfortable and perfect for our stay.

This is a well established family run hotel, where the welcome and support from the team there is a standout aspect from the moment of arrival to departure. It is comfortable, well run and a brilliant place to stay if visiting Kent.
