An ideal location for a stopover for our drive to Cornwall. The food was excellent with a good choice on the menu. Lovely building which has been looked after very well. Everything was maintained and clean.

we liked the cottage, which had all we needed, the location was secluded and super quiet. The host gave us excellent directions so it was easy to find. The garden was amazing and we would have loved to stay longer to enjoy it more.

What Guests Said About Honiton:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 4.0

There is little to do, It is a Lace industry -once.

There is little to do, It is a Lace industry -once. A minimal museum to view, some inglenook pubs to be found and the odd shop on the high street, the whole place needs more money pumping into it by the council, alot of boarded up shops, its like a ghost town. The art galleries are not art galleries, they are names of places, but no art gallery attached, Only one in the town and it takes about 10 minutes to do it, most of that is in the shop.

Honiton has sadly gone the way of most UK towns that I've visited. They have become tired, and lack any real variary of customer experience. There were a selection of nice individual shops, but in a limited number, even for my short visit.

The people were friendly and helpful.

The people were friendly and helpful. The hotel was the best place and we had our meals there except lunch at Costa which is consistently good. Our visit to the Lace and Pottery Museum was interesting and the staff there informative. We had come by train and found taxis limited to find. As it was raining we visited a few High Street shops but didn’t linger

We have stayed in Honiton on on several occasions but briefly. We booked this hotel because our usual one was not open . My request was dealt with very promptly. It is a very handy venue if travelling to Exeter and onwards or for the ajrport. We have visited several pubs for Sunday lunch , , aĺl of which were most acceptable: one was right on the river and was very agreeable .

We stayed just one night, but what a wonderful, cosy stay it was! The room had everything we could possibly need — and more! We were pleasantly surprised to find juice, water, and milk waiting for us in the fridge. The shower was absolutely amazing, and the room itself was full of charm and character — we loved it! Cara and Steve were incredibly kind and helpful, even serving us breakfast in our room at 7am on request — such thoughtful service! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

A lovely town with nice places to eat and a good car park. We had our evening meal just out of Honiton at The Greyhound Country Inn - at Fenny Bridge. We can highly recommend. Good food, plenty of parking and nice and cosy and dog friendly.

The room was absolutely lovely, the staff were really friendly and the location was perfect for the wedding that we were going to! The breakfast choice was really good, and the food was delivered to the room for whatever time you requested. The breakfast itself was one of the best we've ever had at a BnB or hotel and we both said that it was restaurant standard! I would definitely recommend to anybody and we will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Location is good for exploring the south of Devon. The cottage itself is compact but perfect for me and my dog, a couple or small family. The bedroom is lovely and the bed is very comfy. Kitchen has everything you need. The garden would be great in the summer and enclosed so dog friendly. The hosts were perfect, there when I needed them but left alone to do my own thing at all other times.

I would say if you want to eat then book a table as they get very busy. Can’t fault this lovely country pub
