This was a very good detour from the coast to Coast trail. It was like a tiny house. Richard was very welcoming and had a lot of information about the surrounding trails and shortcut back to the coast to coast. An fyi, if you're a coast to coaster, you can order pizza delivery from nearby stokesley and the owners will keep the gate open for the delivery Guy. They also had an honesty box with a couple of snacks.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room had everything you could need (hair dryer, kettle for tea, tea, coffee, and water); iron and ironing board available on request. The room was cozy, I had a table and desk in the room, and the bed was comfortable.

Beautiful cottage right in the centre of the village with everything we needed. Great Ayton is a lovely village with fantastic amenities. The cottage was lovely and we loved staying there. Will definitely visit again.

Melody and Graeme run a charming, rustic farm house B&B with all the modern amenities. Our room had a living room area with TV, a large bedroom and large bathroom with shower. (The bathroom included a bathroom magnifying mirror which is important for those of us with poorer eyesight!. ) We arrived just before Storm Babet hit and we unfortunately lost local power overnight until mid-morning. Melody and Graeme did their upmost to ensure we were comfortable and still delivered hot water for the shower and their wonderful English breakfast under circumstances out of their control.
