United KingdomThe lodge was very spacious, clean and cozy. We had everything we needed. We also had a delicious Sunday roast at the restaurant. The site was very beautiful, with lots of friendly peacocks, a lovely valley with a small pond and paths you can walk on. There are activities for families with children. The host is very nice and friendly. We absolutely loved it. It's amazing to wake up in the morning with a beautiful peacock at your room's door.

The Stables is about 5 miles from Liskeard and set in...
The Stables is about 5 miles from Liskeard and set in beautiful countryside. We found plenty to do both locally and a bit further afield so didn't need to spend much time in Liskeard. The village of St Neot is very picturesque and a great starting place for local visits to Carnglaze Caverns, Siblyback Lake and Golitha Falls to name a few.

I went to Liskeard to see a concert in the Public Hall.
I went to Liskeard to see a concert in the Public Hall. The concert was a Cornish singer-songwriter Charlie Harris and her guitarist Russell J Williams. Liskeard also has plenty of independent shops, pubs and cafes. There is a JD Wetherspoon pub, which serves drinks and food at a reasonable price. The town is a hub for visiting other towns including Looe, Polperro and beyond.

Liskeard is strategically placed to explore parts of Devon and Cornwall. We paid for a week parking near train station and catch train to different places everyday. Very convenient. The town centre itself has nothing to offer though which is a shame.

Liskeard is great because slightly inland and therefore a little cheaper. A great base for exploring that beautiful part of Cornwall.
Close proximity to Looe, Polperro, Mevagissey, St. Austell and many more interesting things to explore.

The Liskeard / Bodmin Moor area makes for an ideal base for exploring the north and south coasts of the area. Places such as Padstow and Doc Martin’s Port Issac to the north and Mevagissy, Looe and Fowey to the south. Wonderful countryside surrounds you in the Mini’s Cottage location. From there, Jamaica Inn is just a short drive away.

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners...
We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners were taking over and the place has been transformed. Lovely clean room with a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely extra. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant which was very tasty and really good value for money and it had a lovely atmosphere with a cosy wood burning fire. We opted for a rate with breakfast which again was fantastic with great quality ingredients and my daughter loved the hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

A little treasure in a quaint little hamlet but with easy access to Liskeard and beyond. The accomodation was cosy and comfortable and had all the conveniences you would expect in a hotel i.e. hairdrier, iron & ironing board,tea, coffee & milk etc. Jason - the owner, was very helpful and able to answer my text queries quickly and efficiently.We would highly recommend this accomodation and we ourselves will definitely make a return trip.

Exceptionally clean and tidy. Lovely welcome hamper and dog treats.
Everything you could need in the kitchen, utensils, oven, toaster, pots and pans etc.
Very warm. Lots of blankets and heaters were great.
Wi-Fi was great, able to work and join Teams calls no problems.
TV with free view and apps.
Great location for exploring Cornwall.

Definitely worth the money paid, would happily recommend to a friend or family, will certainly stay there again!
Rather than paying for one room go for Trehawke House and get an entire apartment!
