The Gwesty Richmond Hotel is just fronting the promenade with an inviting walk along the entire beach front. Ease of car parking. The room at the higher floor has a glorious view of the sea and the crashing waves on the beach down below. It comes with a comfortable bed, and a very spacious bathroom. The reception counter was very engaging, polite and helpful.

The TV in our room didn't work so the staff very kindly moved us to another room that was actually a 2 bedroom suite! The location is wonderful for a walk on the promenade or over to Constitution Hill. I would definitely pay them another visit.

' Raise a glass to this place', On arriving we met the staff they were really helpful , welcomed us and made sure we had everything, ,even tho it was self check in, so time scales are easy here as they make sure the access codes are sent. A great room lovely size comfortable bed, and facilities, spotless tea ,coffee , toiletries,( toothbrush love the little paste tubes ) it is a great location in the town ,for shopping and bars ,and the sea front two minutes away., definitely stay here best in town, credit to all their hardwork

A great base to explore from .

A great base to explore from . We visited Aberaeron on the way in from Swansea . Had lunch at The Hive next to the honey ice-cream kiosk and it wasn’t cheap but stunning and definitely worth a visit . Of course , we had honey ice/ cream aswell but always thought it was from the kiosk , didnt realise until this visit that you can sit in The Hive and have it there on a cold day with a cuppa .Next day went to Newquay and had a lovely walk and popped in the shops then drove onto Aberystwyth and had a walk along front and some shops .. the sweet shop is fab and also 3 shops called Polly with the most stunning ladies clothes ⭐️. Called into Carmarthen on way home to the market , shops and found a gluten free bakery … not many of these around . If u want to eat we would suggest the cafe next to the market - always lovely there .

Very small village, no shop. But very quant.

Very small village, no shop. But very quant. People in village friendly. There is a Morrison's in Aberystwyth and small shops out and about when you are visiting other areas nearby. Pub, Black Lion just down the road by car, exceptional food would highly recommend a meal. Plenty of red kites flying around the property and the squirrel came to say hello 😊.

Be prepared for a narrow single track road to get to the...

Be prepared for a narrow single track road to get to the cottage, but this little lane was very quiet. The property was great, there are some stairs inside, so may not be recommended for people who cannot manage stairs, although it is easy to leave the upstairs by the door into the garden, walk downhill along the lane a little & re-enter via the front door.
