They made our trip worth every second, every penny. It was my husband's birthday and they made sure that we have the time of our life. The bathtub was so beautiful. It felt like being a royal person and living like one. The coffee machine was so good. And the staffs were so welcoming and they gave us a warm welcome. I'm really planning to go there again.

FAQs about hotels in Swansea

Green Gateway to the Gower

Upon seeing Swansea for the first time, it hits you just how green it is, especially when viewed from Kilvey Hill. On a clear day the views stretch as far as sweeping Swansea Bay and even the undulating Mumbles headland at the edge of the Gower Peninsula - the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt beaches.

The Gower is also known for its castles, including Oystermouth Castle and Loughor Castle, overlooking the city from a hilltop. Swansea itself also has castle ruins which are Grade I listed, as is the Guildhall with its lavish interior frescoes.

Most historic city centre buildings were sadly lost during World War II, but the elegant Grand Theatre survived, as did Dylan Thomas’ childhood home in Uplands. The Swansea Museum – the oldest in Wales – is opposite the National Waterfront Museum and the LC indoor waterpark.

Offshore conditions are good for kitesurfing, and the marina shelters yachts overlooked by Wales’ tallest building: The Tower, Meridian Quay. The nearby SA1 Waterfront complex is becoming popular for its bars and restaurants, while shopping options include a covered market and the Morfa Shopping Park by Liberty Stadium, home to the city’s football and rubgy union teams.

Booking.com’s Swansea accommodation includes luxury hotels, cheap apartments and guest houses with parking.

Swansea is an excellent place to visit.

Swansea is an excellent place to visit. Staff at all the venues we visited were brilliant. We ate some excellent food - highly recommend Muswanna on Dilwynn St and if you do a bit of research there are some great attractions nearby.

I was born in Swansea but moved to the North West at 4 yrs old. Many holidays over the years have been spent in/around Swansea (3 times this year). There is such an array of lovely clean beaches to visit - Swansea Bay where we enjoyed a BBQ on the beach, Caswell Bay has a lovely clean beach, and there’s a reasonably priced Chalet park only 5 mins away. Port Eynon beach is usually very quiet and there’s a good Cafe where you can get Fish & Chips (Captians Table), many activities to enjoy at Singleton Park including the fun (dragon / unicorn) boats. Mumbles has many great food choices including Bisto Pierre and Joes Ice-cream.

Travelling without a car Swansea is a good place to visit...

Travelling without a car Swansea is a good place to visit with good public transport to The Gower Peninsula. In the city visit the Art Gallery near the station, the two museums at the docks and the new public library in the city centre. St Mary's Swansea Minster is impressive with it's history and photos of the Swansea bombing in World War II. Mumbles is a short bus ride along the sea front and worth visiting. Good beaches near the city.
