Idyllic location in a quiet and extremely beautiful little town. It seemed we were transported to another century as we entered the manor. We stayed in a family room with two separate big bedrooms. The rooms were comfortable with high sealings. Also the bathroom was very spacious and nice with a window overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was excellent! Thank you for the unforgettable stay!

Fabulously appointed self contained units with everything you could ask for! We particularly appreciated the mini fridge and fresh milk! Lovely little touches and great style. The bed is super comfortable and the shower room was perfect. We liked the environmentally.conscious approach! Brilliant!. We will be returning.... Breakfast delicious and plentiful, dinner equally impressive! Attentive and courteous staff.

What Guests Said About Long Crendon:

Amazing historical manor house.

Amazing historical manor house. The room was enormous, bed was super comfortable. The owners were really friendly and loved talking about the history of the house. Fab breakfast to start the day, and two very good pubs within a short walk which were perfect for dinner

What a find!

What a find! Imagine if Shakespeare had a mansion just outside Thame and you could stay there? That is the best way of describing this B&B cum living museum. You stay in a 12th/14th Century manor. Simple as that. The hosts, Tim and Sue, are absolutely delightful and the "Exceptional Breakfast" more then lives up to it's name. Now some facilities are basic (bath, no shower, no bar) but a very small price to pay for staying in a part of England's history.

Lovely manor.

Lovely manor. May be too old and not modern enough for those that want a new modern type accommodation. Book in is only accepted after 16:00 which is far too late in the day for early arrivals / travelers. I arrived at 08:00 from an international flight and was told to only return after 16:00. Most inconvenient. WiFi does not work in the bedrooms. Connection was only established in the downstairs study.

Wonderful.

Wonderful. We would visit the property tomorrow if possibly. We would recommend the Thai and Curry restaurants. Both exceptional and even better you can walk to both restaurants. Thame is about 5 minutes from Long Crendon. Lovely village to walk around, parking free for 2 hours, lots of coffee shops, restaurants.

Wonderfully preserved Medieval town with more half-timbered,...

Wonderfully preserved Medieval town with more half-timbered, thatched cottages per capita than any town in the UK. Good places to eat (Thai, Indian, posh fish restaurant, pub fare) and gorgeous walks. Market town of Thame (pronounced Tame as in a shrew) is down the hill. Take the train from London to there and not Alyesbury which is further afield. Good taxi service. Great place to unplug and luxuriate in the English countryside.

We were at Long Crendon as we were attending a wedding nearby so only stayed for one night. We would have loved to stay longer as there was nothing we could fault. The house is amazing. So old and full of character and our room was lovely. Huge, comfy bed and even a seating area and dressing room. The breakfast was excellent. More than enough to eat and excellent quality food. All in all an excellent stay. Can't recommend Long Crendon highly enough.
