The cabin exceeds expectations. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The host contacted us beforehand and asked us what cake we would like on arrival! A lovely welcome basket had all your tea/coffee essentials.

The view and binoculars set up to see the swans on the firth. Excellent kitchen amendments. Gorgeous flowers with multiple paths to take. Close to Dumfries. Very comfortable beds. 2 bathrooms with 1 that had a tub.

There are 3/4 bars in the area.

There are 3/4 bars in the area. One bar is officially for the Parkdean caravan park. The other 3 bars/restaurants/cafes are open to the public. All 3 are extremely friendly with lovely chatty staff who are proud of their area. There is also a chip shop, amusement arcade and a well stocked small supermarket. The beach isn't great but fine for long walks. There's a golf course adjacent which seems to be well used by holidaymakers.

the location was prime for a short family staycation. we...

the location was prime for a short family staycation. we were 20 minutes from Dalbeatie, and right on the seafront. excellent for walking and taking in nature. the area is full of cute village feels, with lots of pubs and tea rooms to visit. plenty to do for the little ones also.
