The hotel was lovely and airy, Our room was big and light overlooking the quiet gardens. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were beautiful Egyption cotton. The staff were kind and generous with their smiles, and when my husband was taken isuddenly ill ( underlying condition) the memagement did everything possible to make him comfortable. My most ardent compliments go to the chef. There was no main course vegan option on the menu, but every night the chef cooked me something nutritious and delicious. It was some of the best food i have ever tasted.

The Mildenhall museum was very good worth seeing the Anglo-Saxon worrier and horse skeleton. Was wonderful to see how the displays were presented starting from the pre historical era . It's free entry too. The two lovely ladies volunteering on Friday were very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming had a chat over coffee they so kindly offered. The St Mary's church was lovely too. Very quiet town but a good location to base and travel to other areas

The hotel is maintained in excellent condition and the staff were very friendly. The food was excellent and the breakfast was fantastic!! We traveled there from the US and if we come back to Mildenhall area we will definitely stay at eht Riverside House Hotel!!

Comfy beds, quiet location, parking outside.

Comfy beds, quiet location, parking outside. Nice having two bathrooms. Overall all the basics were there and good. Interior a little tired, and couldn’t get the tv working properly - possibly batteries needed in the controls. If you like cooking take along a kitchen knife, veg peeler and kitchen paper. Also no dishwasher Overall we had a good stay and were handy for Newmarket. Would stay again. Missed little friendly touches like fresh milk.

The accommodation was welcoming , comfortable and well appointed, with good use being made of limited space. For "ground floor" accommodation the high step up into it was surprising and awkward. The kitchen was well appointed but a jug might have been useful for warm milk for breakfast. The shower was cleverly designed and the provision of shower gel and shampoo and hairspray a lovely touch.

The biggest problems were the awful mattress, tiny TV and the noise.. also on the booking with you,it said that breakfast was available at £6:50 per person.... But they didn't do any breakfast,so we had to go into the town to find a café.

Lovely part of the world.

Lovely part of the world. Given it's proximity to US air bases it's a pity that levels of 'service' commonplace in America don't appear yet to have rubbed off on the locals. Town has everything you need and more. Take time to suss out the backways... you'll avoid traffic queues.

Location was excellent nice and central with places of interest not to far away. Bed was comfortable, pub just down the road although vegan options are very limited which was disappointing. Mildenhall town centre is 20min walk via a nature reserve. If you want somewhere to stay that's central and clean then definitely recommend this and the owner is a lovely lady and knowledgeable of to the area.

The staff were very friendly and the meals were good. However, the supplies for breakfast on the self service, quickly ran out and as there was only one lady working, each day, we had to wait for refills. The young lady was running around taking order, serving, seeing to everyone and felt that this was why somethings got neglected. We did enjoy 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner at the hotel.

Hosts, the cleanliness of the place and it's position in Mildenhall. Bed was comfy and thier were tea and coffee in the rooms. They needed until pots as well even though milk was provided. It was too hot for it to stay cool.. I had a very happy visit and left refreshed... I loved thier garden..so English and restful. 10/10

The location was ideal for RAF Lakenheath to watch the fighter jets. Ideal for Mildenhall town for shopping. The private enclosed yard meant our dog could come and go as he pleased. Washing machine and dishwasher as well as full fridge and freezer. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer.
