Very warm welcome, , the pub felt like home from home , our small dog Thistle loved it , evening meal was superb, and I have to say having stayed in many places in our lives the breakfast was one other best ever , A big thanks to all the staff at the Horse and Jockey Tideswell , we will be back soon there

The location is so lovely! You are taken back and feels like you are in a different world! The food was amazing. They clearly take pride in their food here! The rooms were super clean! I used to clean 5 Star rooms in college--so I have an eye for this! Rooms were also super cozy with the cutest view of the river! Also, they are the perfect size--and on the bigger side for space. The staff seemed family oriented --super nice and went above and beyond for us! I have never experienced such hospitality.

Amazing place to stay everything was great super comfortable for a group of friends or a big family!

I like old style pubs and this was old style the food was lovely and good valve for money .Staff was lovely and helpful when needed will stop again

Really clean, great value for the price we paid. In an ideal location and easy to see the Peak District from here.

I love the down to earth luxury. The decorations of the spa/pool area have improved it a lot.

Lovely historic property in prime location in Bakewell. Fantastic reception staff. Suggest booking a room in main building.

New property, big room and excellent bathroom. Everything clean and new. Excellent breakfast.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The suite was spacious with very comfortable beds and pillows. Great location. Lovely bathroom with ample bath towels and our room had views to The Opera House. Nice full breakfast.

All the staff were really lovely and I can’t speak highly enough about them! Overall the room was nice and clean. Location wise I thought this place was perfect. About 20 mins by car to Mam Tor / Winnats Pass & Castleton and about 25 mins the other way to Bakewell. In terms of Buxton town centre, it’s literally just round the corner for all the main shops, eateries & the Buxton Crescent Spa too (about 5 mins walk).
