Newport is a very lovely village.

Newport is a very lovely village. It’s very pretty to walk around, very well located for beach access. There’s a lovely café near the harbour, a campsite situated almost next to the harbour and walks which are shady and which take you across to Newport Sands where there is a huge flat beach. There are some beautiful walks which can be accessed from Newport itself.

To a native Cardiffian, Tenby and Sandersfoot would be the usual “go-to” options for a summer holiday. The Newport Pembrokeshire area is quite different; not at all commercialised and offering unspoilt, natural beauty. It has a unique character, a dramatic coast line and an array of traditional inns and cafés to enjoy. You'll need to add an extra 40 minutes or so travel time once you head north of St Clears. That’s time well spent. As the saying goes, if you put in that extra mile you’ll probably be out there on your own!

Newport was recommended to us by several people. In spite of the wet weather we enjoyed our trip. Pretty village, interesting shops including Ffynnon, amazing selection of books, candles, art and much more. Great places to eat especially Lys Meddyg. Beaches nearby. A good place to visit, quiet and peaceful but it was early Autumn. I imagine it gets very busy in summer, but children would no doubt love it 😊

A lovely little town with lots of small shops selling local produce, art and useful gear for the beach. Some great pubs and places to eat and a great, friendly welcome from everyone. Well worth spending some time there

Newport Sands, Parrog and River Nevern Estuary are fantastic...

Newport Sands, Parrog and River Nevern Estuary are fantastic, as is the walking on the coastal path. There are many other great places within reach like Carn Ingli Common, Pentre Ifan Neolithic Burial Chamber and Pengelli Forest inland, and Pwllgwaelod Beach. Plenty of Craft Shops, Pubs, and other places to eat.

Newport is a great destination for holidays with a well...

Newport is a great destination for holidays with a well equipped little supermarket along with a good selection of independent shops great beach , lovely walks . A visit to St David’s is a must along with a boat trip from the St Justinians Lifeboat station to see the local wildlife .

Excellent location in a peaceful area but so close to Newport, Pembs. It was a short walk to join the Coastal path and under 15 mins walk to a small beach where you could swim at low tide. You can walk to Parrog also Loads to do in the area. The cottage was lovely and excellent value. We liked sitting out having breakfast on the patio and it was enclosed for the dog. Communication with the owner was excellent.

We had a lovely peaceful stay at Llwyngwair Manor. The staff were brilliant and went on extra mile by picking us up from and dropping us to Newport iron bridge for the coastal path. They were flexible in arranging our breakfast earlier and providing us with vegan food. Our room was comfy and quiet and we slept well and also had a great meal in the onsite restaurant.

Great house which felt homely straight away. Great location, you can walk on the coast from the house, to the beach or to the pub. The house has everything you need, really quiet area. Close to the golf course of Newport. Communication with the owner was great, we would stay there again.

The house was truly lovely, perfectly positioned for visiting around Newport. Very comfortable, quiet, walking distance to the town for fresh bread from the Monday market. Perfect for dog walks, short walk to the beach.
